After the exertions of the past six days it is reasonable to just take the win from this game and move on. Hopefully the performance level on Saturday will be more akin to last Thursday/Sunday.

Tbf St Mirren aren’t a good team but they have the 3rd least goals conceded in the league 1 more than us before tonight, if you don’t get the early goal against these teams it can become frustrating 3 games in the league since winter break scored 12 conceded 0 and beat lazio in between that so can’t really complain

wasn’t really overly impressed with both full backs tonight

Thought the team might struggle a little tonight, especially after the last 2 fantastic results, and with a s/f coming up in 3 days.

Really pleased for Taylor tonight (and it’s not going to be popular this) but Morgan did ok when he got on. Both probably need to fine tune their final ball, or finishing, but their build up play was pretty good.

Another 3 points banked, and into the next fixture

Big props to the guy dishing it out at the segregation line.... subsequently drawing steward attention to himself and his open bottle of buckfast.

Some ejections you just need to facepalm at lol

There was a lack of dig in the team tonight, but that's to be expected at this stage of the season. I know lots of people like to say "you don't win the league in October", but it's the time of year when ground can easily be lost in the campaign.

We're getting to the stage of fixture pile-ups, injuries, bitter weather etc, and the manager is quite right to let the team take the foot off the gas a wee bit when the opportunity arises. Just as long as they keep picking up the points.

Need a different attitude on Saturday though. Although Hibs are *, they'll be fired up for the game. Although the league cups quite * as well I don't want anyone else winning it.

Agree mate we can’t play scintillating football, every week and quite happy winning ugly against a team that parks the bus, we stayed patient
Re Morgan, it probably isn’t easy coming on for last 15 minutes with little time to make to get up to speed and make an impact but have to agree with most of the other guys, from what I’ve saw so far the guys done showed absolutely nothing so far, he must be brilliant in training to warrant a place in squad before Sinclair and shved

That said, at this exact time last year, just before league cup semifinals, if you had heard Christie was signing for Aberdeen, every Celtic fan to a man and woman wouldn’t really have batted an eyelid
Came on second half at Murray field, could see he had bulked himself up in gym, totally changed the game scored a cracker, and was involved with other 2 goals, totally ran the show and a year on he’s one of the first names on the teamsheets and became a total workhorse of a midfielder with plenty of goals and assists in his locker

he’s a great example to players who are on the fringes of what you have to do if you want to become a regular starter at a club like Celtic

Was a poor game I thought, never got into gear. Was absolute baltic and a dull atmosphere all the home games in winter seem like that until about February so there will be more to come just glad to get the points.

I thought Jullien was probably MOTM, everyone else was passive and playing short passes when we needed to get the ball moving quicker and more direct and he was the only one firing the ball about at pace and across the park and down the wings, good range of passing on him with both feet. Defensively as well he looked unbothered to me where as Ajer stood out a bit as struggling or doing the wrong thing 3/4 times and that with St Mirren only coming up the park about 10 times.

St.Mirren defended well for majority of the match, stuck to their shape well and made it hard for us, just never really clicked for us and never used the width enough to create spaces down the channels to get in. Take the 3 points and move on, midweek winter games are never an easy watch.

Popular or not you are correct about Morgan, he did more than ok as did Taylor who had a solid debut and got forward quite well.

Was a pretty boring night truth be known but just happy we got the 3 points, second half was far better with a better tempo, was a real hangover type game that could on another night been a 0-0, crowd was as flat as I can remember in a long time the whole way through, fair does however to the Green Brigade for the Forrest song and in truth apart from them it was pure silence in there tonight bar when the goals went in.

You can’t be scoring 4 and 5 and play mesmerising football every game and tonight was one of those nights we don’t get a dose of that but equally important is the fact that just like a great performance like on Sunday we still get the same 3 points and move on to the next one

Agree totally with everything you say, I thought the number 7 for them was quite lively and looked useful.

St Mitten were never going to do anything other than sit in and hope to get a point. We got the win and the 3points but it's a timely reminder that there is still a bit of work to be done against well drilled defensive minded teams
