Think we need to try the 3-4-2-1 formation again that worked so well with Dembele & Edouard at the beginning of the season. Especially with Edouard nearing fitness... would play Edouard just off Burke/Weah.. then you have Bayo and Griff to come back in..

Need to maximise our attacking options.. we certainly have options..

 

I wouldn't tinker with anything at the moment when we're scoring goals and creating plenty of chances. We've had our fingers burnt a few times this season trying to experiment with formations and systems.

We always looks out of sorts when going with 3 at the back. The only time I remember it working for us was in the 2nd half v Motherwell in Rodgers first season when we came back from 2-0 down at HT to win.

When KT plays, it’s a flexible system as he covers so much ground and it slips from 3 at the back to a 4., so aye maybe wait until he’s fit..

The 3-4-2-1 system was working well at the beginning of the season with Edouard playing off Dembele and we should try different things at home.. my issue with the tinkering he has done, is that he’s done it away from home with the wrong personnel at the wrong ground..

It also compensates from not having an effective RB

We have Edouard/Weah/Burke/Bayo/Griff ..

With the squad we have just now.. is one example..

I can't see Griff featuring any time soon, even though he might be back light training. Bayo is 3-4 weeks off and Edouard is only just coming back.

We did look good in the 3-4-2-1 but I'm still not convinced it's the system that has us playing the best effect. It exposes us down the wings in defence and blunts our interplay and overlapping in attack. The end result is we go central and teams put 2 banks of bodies right in front of their box which we struggle to break down.

I think the fact we looked better with the 2 up top was down to Dembele actually coming back raring to go and not carrying weight like he had after the previous 2 summers. Obviously that now looks down the fact he knew he would be off.

Our best performances under Rodgers have always came with a 4-2-3-1, I'd stick with it even if we do have all the strikers back and fit.

 

Well, we’ve got options in the final 3rd at least.. will be interesting to see how we develop and keep those strikers happy.. hard to know how long Griff will be out but wasn’t going to leave him out, when listing our options..

 

5 or 6-0, they'll try and frustrate us for the first 5-25 minutes but once we open the scoring they'll crumble

 

2-3-5. The only way forward. Win every game 10-4. Bain in goal, Ajer and Benkovic in defence and the rest all from the top please Carol.
