It matters because I would like to see my team win more than 3 games in a row in the league considering how poor the opposition is.

Did Ronaldo win a trophy for that goal?
No, but it was good to watch.

We'd all like to see us win more than 3 games in a row in the league, but that still doesn't mean it matters.

If we can't find any sort of consistency in our league it doesn't bode well for our chances in Europe.

I can see where you're coming from, but at least we have a transfer window in which to strengthen, along with getting rid of some who don't want to be here.

Winning four in a row doesn’t mean the games are good to watch!!!!
If we won four in a row, & I say this without any doubt, some wallopers would be moaning that we haven’t won five in a row.

If we could only win two in a row but played well would you be happy?

It matters because it's a sign that the team, despite it's league position, has problems. It's now a genuine struggle for this side to beat dross like Dundee and St Johnstone and i'm not talking about hammering them i just mean to actually get a victory. Unless we're playing Hibs, Aberdeen or sevco pretty much every game is the same, the opposition park the bus, we play the same patterns to try and break them down and they look to hit us on the break or, more often than not, get a gift from Lustig/Boyata/Simunovic. The tempo of our play is almost always too slow and we also tend to over-pass the football which only ever plays into the opponents hands. BR is a legend but it has to be said that he's got a fair bit wrong this season. Signings, team selections(what does Boyata have to do to be dropped?), our defending, the way we play in Europe, our 1-dimensional style of play...... We need a plan B and C as we have become far too predictable.

I think the problems you mention are being greatly exaggerated.

The difference in squad size and ability we have over the rest of the teams in the league we really should be winning games in a row and playing well at the same time.

If it was between consistency or performances I would choose consistency, but right now we aren't getting either.

Are you worried about us losing the league?

My wee anology about Celtic right now is like your wean gettin Bs and Cs at school when you know they are more than capable of straight As.

Doesnt matter that they are at the top of the class, when you know they are capable of more.

Thats just nonsense. Our biggest problem right now is complacency, complacency that's brought about by being miles in front of the competition. The league is a walk in the park and we will win it comfortably despite playing poorly for long spells.

IF we had a decent rival as you put it we would have met the challenge head on and swatted them away in due course. It's all relative, if a team improves enough to be credible challengers do you really think we would just stand still!!??

Yes we would like to see better football but unfortunately when we can win trophies in 2nd gear there will always be a tendency to coast along. Outside of Brendans stellar first season I think we could be seeing more of the same laboured performances on and off for the forseeable future and yet we will continue to win trophies. The ongoing worry is and has been for a while is that our cakewalk domestically leaves us unprepared and floundering in the European arena.
