Does no one else feel we are fast becoming a joke in Europe? Shipping 4 goals at home to Cluj!! I mean *!! We used to be formidable opponents at home, a real fortress. Now I fear almost any team scoring against us at home and getting a result.

I will continue hoping we can produce a decent team for the Europa campaign. But last night was soul destroying.

Keep hearing this Formidable force at home and fortress etc , The last time that was the case was when mon was in charge back then we could have beaten anyone at home, I honestly don’t understand why folk are still buying Into this belief a suppose folk will always Do so asking as the board are flogging it as such it’s not been the case for a long time.
    Harsh but reality

Nah the formidable force at celtic park ended when we got skelped 3-0 off Juve in 2013, we had some great results under Strachan and obviously Barca under Lennon.

I’m trying hard to erase the memory of the last 24 hours, but my mind keeps drifting back to what could/should have been done differently.

Lennon’s rush appointment in the showers, when the funds were in the bank for Rafa.

The haggling over a few pennies for John McGinn, after selling Armstrong.

Allowing Boyata to stay for the extra year, not replacing him and Lustig 18 months ago.

All have played a part, and all are a result of *-poor long term planning from board level.

If the board used European football as its yardstick, the domestic stuff would take care of itself. Instead.......

Think last night the players (once the team was leading) should have detached themselves from the atmosphere, and played with their heads not their hearts.

Was stunning how frequently we lost possession after our second goal. We were so busy trying to kill them off instantly, we barely strung 3-4 passes together.

What should be a major strength, can also be a major weakness if you don’t recognise the negatives as well as the positives

To be fair Rafa is on over 200 grand a week in China we had no chance with him. Also as we’ve seen from Tierney the lure of the premier league and the money teams in England have is worth more than the team you support.

    Very big deception

Since the 90's, Bosman, new European Cups, TV and complete free borders, no way for big clubs of little leagues. The only one choice is between Scottish patriotism but with poor football results or English (British ?) Premier League business but end of scottish national football

Over it noo, Slavia Prague woulda pumped us anyway, especially with our defence.

People are overestimating Slavia, they’re really not that great.

The correct XI and correct tactical decisions would have seen us through against both imo.
