Thought everyone in this thread was taking the * but just heard from a couple of guys in work that Ajax fans genuinely had a mini riot in Central last night. Won't be going to the fan zone on the way to the match tonight * sake

 

Think I'll ask my dad to park as close to the stadium as he can get tonight- bit worried that after the match I'll become isolated in an alley and cornered by Ajax ultra maniacs and get beheaded or something.

 

Don't think Glasgow's the best place to start rioting, there are some hard * kicking about.

Just avoid the casuals... follow only others in celtic tops. Hide behind each and every wheelie bin, avoid dark alley ways. Bring some pepper spray, a strap on and pink fluffy handcuffs, they should then leave you alone.

I heard Commons is out of this game? Any truth?

 

I fear that we lack the firepower to win us these games. For long periods on saturday we didn't look like breaking down hibs.

 

I think Bojan and possibly Moisander could be out for Ajax.

Their team will probably be

Van Rhijn ??????? Denswil Blind
Poulsen
??????? De Jong
??????? ??????? Fischer

The other 4 positions it could be Veltman, Moisander or Van der Hoorn - Serero or Schone - De Sa or Andersen - Hoessen or Sigthorsson.

They may even play De Jong up front with Serero and Schone in midfield.

If trouble does start the Ajax lads wont be looking for normal scarfers.

Its also easy to act the smart wee guy on a forum, but often its totally different if you come face to face with someone who's looking for agro.

Any way this will be a great night and before during and after the game might just be what it was like in the good old days supporting Celtic instead of what you sadly get now.

 

Moisander might start, the decision will be made later. Celtic should hope he doesn't start though. Moisander is one of Europe's best centerbacks in passing and opening up the game. I think last year in the Champions League he had most touches of all players after Xavi. Defensively he's also strong, but it's really his vision, passes and overall link up play that makes him stand out. He's also a huge threat in corner kicks, last year he scored almost identical goals against both Real Madrid and Man City.

As a team Ajax have been * this season.. They haven't been able to replace the lost players Eriksen, Vertonghen etc. They've also had problems with their goalkeepers. Will be an interesting match that can end any way.

 

Just about to head out to the bus station for half 2, get in around quarter to six then immediately head to parkhead while grabbing some munch on the way! Can't * wait.

It would be so great if Stokes took control of today's game, scored a goal (or two), and is just a total pest in the box.

For too long, Stokes was on the bench for our biggest games. Today is one of the those days where all of that can be forgotten.

 

I'll be thoroughly disappointed if there isn't a loud rendition of 'One's called Ronald, one's called Frank...' from the tiers tonight :icon_mrgreen:
