Discuss Celtic supporting pride weekend in Glasgow in the Celtic Chat area at TalkCeltic.net.
What about people without the ability to reproduce? What’s their primary function?
There’s absolutely nothing wrong with teaching young children that some people like people of the same *, and so on. It’s only teaching them the truth.
Going by your comments I doubt you even watched this video. It speaks to people who decided not to go ahead with an operation. Further to that, the laws are pretty strict on people wanting surgery under the age of 18.
From the NHS website regarding treatment of gender dysphoria, “Most treatments offered at this stage are psychological, rather than medical or surgical.”
This stage, means under 18.
Who cares what sexuality someone is.
If it bothers you so much you’ve got a serious problem.
I don't make up the laws of nature
We're just going round in circles with this, lets just agree to disagree.
Well I did watch the video, it was highlighting people who realized they had made a mistake which is the point I was making about how it may be dangerous to teach this stuff to young Kids.
The fact that the NHS promote holding off on the treatment of Gender dysphoria until adulthood would only go to reinforce the point that many within the medical profession believe that children are not ready for this, but this is not the case in all countries especially America where kids are given treatment from a very young age.
I hate this argument. What about those who can't have children? Or what about those who don't want children?
* me, man. The ragers in this thread are living proof why we still need campaigns like this.
So answer the question. The point is, your existence isn’t defined by your ability or lack thereof, to reproduce.
Why are you unable to back up your point?
Teaching kids that these people exist, and don’t deserve to be discriminated against, is a world away from encouraging it. There is no danger about teaching the truth in an age appropriate manner.
There is a huge difference between being ready for gender reassignment surgery, and being taught that it exists, and is an option, for transgender adults.
The US laws regarding transgender people are totally backwards, there are 33 states where you can be sacked from your job just for being transgender. However, I can’t see any evidence for your claim that children can have reassignment surgery in the US.
Was at my dinner there and going to get ready for going out to watch the match now.
The internet is full of links where you can see evidence of Children being given Hormonal treatment at a young age, not so sure about surgery, but it's more the treatment aspect among young kids I'm on about.
This is moral panic bullshit spread by * bigots. Ever get the feeling you've been had?
Ignore him every year he’s in here with his pish.
Surely you’d agree psychological help for gender dysphoria is a good thing?
Glad we back the gay community (club and support) but the club are clearly just jumping on the bandwagon because it's so widespread and socially acceptable just now.
They're quick enough to distance themselves from (or completely ignore) nearly every other worthwhile cause the support gets behind.
You mean there's no conspiracy-based blog sources on the subject?!
* taste the rainbow ya *.
Telling ya, a sleek cool pride kit is on it's way soon.
With Rapinoe winning the women's Ballon D'or, it's pretty much being celebrated on the women's side of the sport!
And I'd be the first to line up for a pride kit for Celtic. Just saying.
Here is what it's all about -
They say -"It's the kids I worry about so impressionable at that age" -
What is really meant = they spread poofyness and I might catch it as I'm a raging wee ignorant bigot.
* you, I'm first, I'll bite your rather large and girthy pork sausage off.
My honest opinion is that because many men stereotype physical women as unfeminin it seems to be more acceptable to be gay or what people think is the norm.
Gay men would get * from fans in the uk, imagine if one of our players came out, Rangers fans would be singing puff and * at him while the union twats would be trying to kill him. While most fans are ready and wouldn't give a * sadly the vocal and active minority are not. * knows what Lazio fans would have been like if one of our players was openly gay. I don't blame a UK based player for not coming out.
Agreed. It's one of the few reasons I like living in the U.S. Despite many of the lunatics living here, one can find many places to be out and open in this country (for now).
Wouldn't it be fitting that the first real open player be a Celtic player though? We've been a club of so many firsts and I'd hope that they'd have our support's backing for this, too!
