Something might be happening behind the scenes that people are privy too but that would be insider trading could be nothing tbh

When you check back on the last 5 days mate it was sitting at 165 mate now I’m no expert but for it to drop to 151 yesterday and now 150 today I would say that a pretty hefty drop ?

Aye it’s a dip alright but it would be pure speculation as to why as things stand.

Shares in football clubs are notoriously illiquid (not traded regularly) with most people simply buying and holding shares for sentimental reasons rather than for trading purposes. That means that you can see fairly big changes in share price in response to fairly small buying or selling orders.

With shares that are illiquid there’s also a higher ‘spread’ meaning a difference between the price someone buys at (higher) and the price someone sells at (lower). If a share price is based on the value of the last trade, it can appear to move quite significantly if there’s a large variation between the buying and selling price.

Someone appears to have placed a sell order to the value of about £123k a few days ago which has resulted in the drop. The reasons why it was placed is anyone’s guess.

It’s not a particularly liquid share. There’s won’t be hundreds of bids at any given price. Looks like someone with a chunk of shares has simply offered through the rate to dump their holdings. There simply isn’t enough demand to hold the price up. Investors aren’t sitting on the bid marginally below the price. Therefore when anyone has a large chunk to sell, the price will dump as it soaks up the (minimal) bids. You have to remember In order to sell your stock, there has to be someone on the other side to buy it.

Yes but see with the drop would it not tend to be someone with a pretty hefty slice of shares mate? Like going by the drop id rule out it being a joe Bloggs.

Yes agreed. Would be a lump of shares for sure. The only other explanation would be what’s known In the industry as a “fat finger” where the trader sells 100000 shares instead of 10 shares for example. Price usually recovers after this as the trader frantically tries to buy them back, so probably rule that out! Someone with a large holding offloaded a large chunk.

Not sure mate only noticed it took the biggest hit in 52 weeks at the beginning of the week so kept eyes on it and it’s only been going one way since. @Blochairnbhoy seemed to know more about it and what the size of dip can Genuinely mean be it A regular dip or quite a hit.
