    Quote from gullible gullible

“They spend £900k+ p/w on wages, that £30m will down to about £6m before the end of the reporting period”

Here ya dimwhit * we still have over £20m to come in! £900k a week on wages that’s for the whole group!

see Huns and sums don’t work going on about turnover up by £10m but profit up by less than £1m.

See that’s called allocation to cash reserves to bring the profit down and in turn increase the expenditure.

Going on about how one season without CL football we will be insolvent :56:that’s why we have £30m in bank and even without CL cash yes we would make a loss of around £8m per season but considering the value of the squad it would be a drop in ocean!

I wouldn’t have thought so? They sell 43-44k season tickets and fill ibrox to 50k every home game. That must be at least £20-25m revenue alone from matchday ticket sales? Tv, club merchandise, sponsorship etc I would think would see them north of £30m+ revenue each year?

But yes, we look to be a hundred miles in front with how much cash we are generating. We will easily break £100m revenue this year considering last years figures were £91m and we are already £10m+ up on last years half years report, still playing European football after the new year and still have money coming in from VVD sale. I think £105-110m up from £91m the season before wouldn’t be too far off.

Thanks, yeah just seen their accounts there. They sold just over 43k season tickets which account for most of their income.

They most certainly need a decent run in the Europa next year to substantially increase their year on year. £29m is pretty low considering.

Absolutely fantastic news to have all that cash in the bank. It's a bit like Arsenal having a very healthy bank balance.

Let's hope we show more ambition in the summer and get some real quality in.

We don't want to * up not getting into the champions league and making that pot bigger.

Fingers crossed we don't penny pinch or wait till the last min like we have done for a long time.

Aye they aren’t gonna get any run in Europa league with the new format! Not a chance unseeded in all rounds not a chance best they can hope for is round 3 when the big heavy hitters (for that competition) fall into it!

That was their reason for spending money last summer until progres knocked them out once that happened they only signed John on loan!

In my opinion with being unseeded in rounds 3 and 4 if they make it that far not a * chance, could draw teams from Spain, Germany, Holland, France, Greece, Austria, Switzerland, Ukraine, Russia, then some corkers like Kazakhstan, Israel and Scandinavian teams; not a * hope IMO

One explanation for this may be that the interest we’re earning on the £37m in the bank exceeds the interest we’re paying on our credit line.

Presumably a bank would give you extremely favourable rates of lending if you’re giving them £37m to sit in their coffers.

Wealthy people and companies often don’t have any cash and instead have it out working for them, and they get through the days using credit facilities, because it’s cheaper.

No doubt we’ve got a board member in the Bank of England pushing for interest rates to rise.

Obviously someone in the palace too having a word.

Good times for the Unseen Hand.

“So nothing much is going to change with Celtic in terms of the revenues it earns today if it doesn’t change its league structure – and there are no prospects of it doing so as far as I can see,” he said.

“But I wouldn’t be surprised if the agenda from the owners over the very long term is to get things changed. If that was ever a likely event the value of the franchise would be enormous.”

On the above, I think this will be the way football eventually evolves and I hope our board are able to get us a seat at the table.

I was being a wide basturt because you said "not a chance" twice.

They'll get pumped out long before the group stages.

i seen a list somewhere of the top ten richest managers in football and he was 4th or 5th on the list, but that surely must have been his Liverpool years.

Yes I think it will as well. Whether that will be a good thing or not remains to be seen. One thing though the "brand" will become even more important, to the board/Club/us all and that will see certain issues arise in how the brand is portrayed/protected, so some may not see a seat at the table as being that important.
