Very interesting how much Hooper's assists have suffered without Stokesy

Could be looked at as a change of tactics, because look how much our full-backs assists have skyrocketed (including Charlie, I don't know what the * to classify him as :56: )

Aye, Stokes and Forrest are really the only players in the squad who make runs beyond Hooper. Samaras doesnt, Commons doesnt really either and hes only played a couple of games with Watt, Lassad or Miku.

When Forrest and Stokes are back we'll see better link-up play in the final 3rd.

Aye, Hooper this year has been playing Stokes role. Dropping deep and playing, I like him further up the pitch. He does more damage there.

Commons has been impressive. Matthews needs to take a bow as well despite only featuring in half of the games this season and still chipping in with so many assists.

couple of players stand out from that. think Stokes will shoot up both tables when he is back from injury.

Not much to criticise to be honest but I definitely think Ledley's stats are disappointing. He hasn't been great this season in my opinion.

Seems ashame Charlie didn't get the assist for Samaras' goal. His crosses were causing havoc.

Hooper's strike rate - 68.0 per cent, i.e., that he scores in seven of ten appearances - is phenomenal.

Seems like an appropriate place to post the following question, as I was going to start a new thread.

Does anyone know what Samaras' overall stats are at Celtic? I was on Twitter last night and OptaCeltic posted that he has played 370 games for us now. Surely that can't be right? I thought it was about 200 something.

    Current club totals

    Total (Club) 201 (65) 57
    League 139 (50) 40
    FA Cup 20 (5) 3
    League Cup 8 (4) 5
    European/Others 34 (6) 9

That is games played, how many of the were sub games and goals scored.

Samaras fact: by my calculations, Samaras now has a marginally higher strike rate than Commons this season - 36.4 per cent (eight goals in 22 appearances) v Commons' 36.0 per cent (nine goals in 25 appearances).

You know his league record isn't as bad as I would have thought.

201 games, 65 of them as a substitute and 40 goals? It's not good for a striker but it's not exactly bad for the type of player Sammy is.

I think he's got the best rate since Larsson. His was something like 73%.

    EDIT:79% for Larsson.

It'll be interesting to see how high Hooper's strike rate goes this season...
