You can't really blame the staff, they will have been instructed on what was allowed and what wasn't, if anything you need to blame Celtic for that.

Was it the G4s security mate?

Few times I have had the wee man at the WWE at the hydro they have been dicks towards kids at ringside to the point WWE own security and event staff have told them to back the * off! Big massive yankie guy like shaq wee jobsworth shat it went and got his supervisor who left with his tail between his legs too!

They are there to ensure event safety not to spoil it

OVER 25,000 Celtic fans flocked to the SEC in Glasgow this weekend for the first ever Celtic FC Festival.

The three-day event in association with Magners was opened by manager Neil Lennon on Friday morning and drew to a close this evening (Sunday) following three sold-out days.

Hoops fans were given the opportunity to meet 22 of the current first-team players as well as the manager and 20 Celtic legends.

Chief Executive Peter Lawwell turned out for an onstage interview, as did some of the Lisbon Lions, former players and the Celtic backroom staff, who gave an insight into their role at the club.

The Reserves and Under-18s sides also offered up something for fans with live in-door training sessions.

The exhibition had plenty for fans young and old with lots of football related games including football darts, head tennis, crossbar challenge, penalty shoot-outs and various target challenges.

Supporters queued for the chance to go on the Treble Treble open top bus, have their photo taken with the three trophies and even try their hand at Celtic TV commentary!

Celtic Football club would like to thank all the fans who turned out for what proved to be an unforgettable event!

CELTIC Chief Executive, Peter Lawwell has heralded this weekend’s inaugural Celtic FC Festival after a phenomenal weekend of events and a green and white Glasgow.

Peter said:“The Celtic FC Festival has been a fantastic event and made so successful by the great level of engagement and support from our fans.”

“I would like to thank all those supporters who attended and made it the success it was. There are not many clubs in the world who could sustain such an event and we are delighted that we have been able to deliver this wonderful celebration of the club.

“I would also like to thank Neil, our first-team players, our younger teams and coaches for giving their time to the event and all our other staff who worked so hard to bring this event together.

“It was fantastic to see so many fans of all ages visiting the Festival, with many generations across families coming together and enjoying all that was on offer.”

During the Festival, Peter himself looked back on another successful season. Hosted by Celtic TV’s Gerry McCulloch, the hour-long ‘An Audience With Peter Lawwell’ saw the Chief Executive hail the achievements of the club’s historic and unprecedented Treble Treble success, its ever-passionate fan base and the hugely positive impact Neil Lennon has had since returning as manager, amongst a host of other topics.

“If we were to reflect on our recent achievements, the Treble Treble, eight-in-a row, it’s remarkable,” said Peter Lawwell. “Where we are at the moment, it’s a fantastic time to be a Celtic supporter.

“One of the most important things for a football club is stability. Once you lose that, things can go wrong. Neil Lennon gave us that. He wanted it, and he answered the call. He put himself in a difficult position, and it shows you the great measure of the man.

“Now, we’re are going into a phase with Neil at the helm. He knows what’s required and knows Glasgow. He’s got a fantastic eye for a player and has all the attributes.”

Peter keenly praised the consistency assistant manager, John Kennedy has provided the club in recent months, and also hailed the contributions of first-team coach Damien Duff.

He added: “John Kennedy has been so consistent from the last regime. He’s been that constant, and in Damien we’ve got a fantastic find, and a hugely enthusiastic coach.

“And of course, the Celtic supporters are second to none. They’re consistently great, they love this massive club, and they have ambition and expectations which we will always endeavour to meet.”
