It is far more hurried and rushed, and you’re more likely to get a boot up your hoop if you don’t keep doing that. La Liga is more reserved, slow and then suddenly bursts into life at an incredible pace.

Their are some exception, Atletico under Simeone won’t give you a * second on the ball.

But if you watch something like Rayo against Alaves then you tend to find that’s the case.

He played through the middle for the Sheep and we tried to make him a winger straight away, he took a while to adjust.

Mark Wilson came out of nowhere really and had about 6 months under Lenny where he looked an absolute beast of a right back.

His problems were always fitness related I suppose, was probably the only time he managed to keep himself fit for a good period while he was here.

Are you going to pretend I’ve never owned the fact I’ve got it majorly wrong about certain players, Broony being the major one?

Although I still do think he was * at first, couldn’t pass a ball 5 yards - I never seen it coming what a long term leader he’d become.

Yea 2 2 van hooijdonk free kick as well. Stubbs said he heard a late cheer and thought it had went to 3 1. Seen tackle on old highlights vs hibs where he got a bad injury soon after

I was the same, thought he was a waste of £4m..

I actually love it when a player proves me wrong. Like with Christie, I thought he deserved his chance and was glad he wasn’t loaned out or sold in the summer. But, thought he was never going to be good enough for us.

The worst part about Christie doing well is my old man has raved about him for months and we argue every single time we’re at games or in the pub. He was telling me he’ll become a mainstay if only he got a chance because he has the nastry streak to go with the technical ability. I said he’d go back to Aberdeen or a Hibs or something and be no more than decent.

I’ve had to concede defeat to him :54:

I saw Christie as a player we'd make a quick buck on after a successful loan. Thought we'd sell him for a couple of million to the championship

I was the opposite with my old man with Forrest, he almost hated him and now has to admit I was right about him. Sweet.:smoke:

No longer do I need to hear ‘Your Wee pal, was pish again!’ Or ‘Back to his usual’.. Forrest’s consistency has been brilliant for getting one over on ma old man..

Think Musonda has that ability to turn his Celtic career around still.
