    Pure guess work tho...

    Don't get me wrong I couldn't imagine suing the club I love, so there must be more to it..probably told not to comment further by his lawyers..

    Let's see what happens.

    For the record, my opinion that Matt McGlone is a jumped up * is compounded by the fact he’s suing the Club he is a better and bigger fan of than you or I of and not only because of it.

    The fact he’s basically offering a square go to anyone that has reacted negatively to that fact speaks volumes of who he is as a person.

    I’ve had interaction with him and I don’t like him, this doesn’t surprise me in the slightest.

    It might be but if that was the plan all along then you would have thought charity would have been mentioned before and not after he started to get some online grief..

    See that statement is just * tbh, IF the club was at fault for something then they deserve to be sued and I wouldn't blame anyone for suing them. It's not as though the cost will be borne by us given we will have public liability insurance anyway. So while technically he is suing the club its the insurer who will be doing most of the defending.

    Agree 100%.

    His Twitter is full of * about the Huns and the diets and constant plugs for his t-shirts. Made a fortune from the club but thinks he's the best Celtic fan ever.

    I think I might sue him for his "book" Emotionally Celtic. A few hours of my life I'll never get back.

    Celtic fan who intended to sue the club for £50,000 after claiming a spilled drink caused him to fall and suffer injuries, has been not been awarded any cash by Glasgow Sheriff Court.

    Matt McGlone, 63, lodged papers at Glasgow Sheriff Court earlier this year for compensation.

    The case was put on hold for months but the civil office confirmed that after a joint agreement by both sides, it resolved out-with court.

    A sheriff granted the motion for ”absolvitor”, this means the outcome of the court is in favour of Celtic.

    McGlone - editor of Celtic magazine Alternative View - claimed he suffered injuries as a result of his fall and posted pictures of them on his Twitter feed.

    But, Celtic’s lawyers said the incident was McGlone’s own fault.

    He was at Parkhead on December 3, 2014, with his teenage son to see Celtic beat Partick Thistle 1-0 when he slipped and hit his head on the metal part of a fold up seat.

    McGlone, of Mosspark, suffered a deep cut over his forehead and was taken by ambulance to Glasgow Royal Infirmary.

    The papers he lodged also said he suffered a scar over his eye and was left with knee, neck and back pain.

    It was claimed a drink was spilled on the ground at the stand, which was also wet due to fans bringing in rain water.

    His legal team alleged the concrete floor was worn and slippy, causing McGlone to fall.

    But in response, Celtic claimed McGlone, was rushing to meet his 13-year-old son.

    They said: “It was his duty to watch where he was placing his feet.

    “In each and all of these duties, the pursuer failed and by his failure, caused or materially contributed to the accident.”

    McGlone said he had to have physiotherapy at the National Stadium Sports Health & Injury Clinic and was unable to work for two weeks following the accident.

    Wait a minute he said he would be giving a charity 55k if he won his case, yet according to the article above he was only suing for 50k ... he really has been talking one load of pish from the start. I hope the Club go after the roaster now for our legal costs, the * just thought he could make some easy money in all this
