    Wouldn’t have thought so.

Would imagine Desmond just offered him the job and told him what the budget would be.

It dosen't matter who it is, they would have to be interviewed, regardless of their standing in the game.

Think Howe is vastly over rated personally; young and English so natural for down south.

He’s nowhere close to being good enough for Spurs, Arsenal and England who he’s been linked with the last few years.

He’s a good young manager, that’s about it. Think the likes of Benítez are absolutely miles and miles ahead of him in every aspect of being a football manager.

I disagree the job he's done with Bournemouth has been outstanding.

Howe or any other manager in the EPL will not be walking away from the so called best League in the World or the vast TV revenue, to come here and have tae deal with a miniscule budget by comparison.

    It just ain't happening.

Yip job he’s done there has been excellent but the likes of Arsenal and Spurs want world class and for me he’s done nothing to be up in that bracket.

He deserves a shot at a bigger job, think he'll get it. They did spend a lot this season tbf with results in comparison to spend maybe not as good as expected.

In any case no chance he's coming here, he'll bide his time.

Thing is there’s dozens of bigger clubs down there so aye he does but it won’t be a huge job as the media have suggested at times. He’s good enough to be given a shot at a higher level, just doesn’t excite me anything like a Benítez does.

Doubt Desmond would be telling Mourinho and Benitez to get suited up for an interview :giggle1:

Guys like Benitez and Mourinho will have plenty offers. They wouldn’t be interviewing for the Celtic job, they’d be offered it.

Owen Coyle and the the likes would be the guys interviewing for jobs.
