No more foreign managers because Ronnie Deila seems to be the theme ...

Considering his and their record fee is half of ours then I’d suggest budgets wouldn’t be an issue.

Their recent scouting and the diversity of it has been far superior to ours in recent seasons.

For example, we were prepared to spend more on Scott McKenna than Salzburg did on Sadio Mane....

If Lenny was to secure the treble for us, but without much style in performances and Rose was attainable..

Who would you go for mate?

Marco Rose is the standout candidate by a mile. Would be a more exciting appointment than Rodgers (for me).

I think the stature of his next club will surprise a few and I don't think there is much chance of him comimg here. Would take a huge wage. He will be very sought after.

Difficult one for me because I’m not a hipster so don’t really know Rose other than from what I read and the couple of games against us.

His team was fit, pressed hard and were organised, on a small budget, so in theory he’d be an exciting appointment but Lenny will make a rod for the Boards back by completing the Treble Treble.

    Aye, I’m 50/50 too..

Let’s just get Lenny at the moment and see where it takes us.. it would harsh not to give him a shot if he gets the results needed.

Are there any legs to the Rose rumour at all? That would be hugely exciting but I really can't see it.

A detailed look at Red Bull Salzburg's transfer dealings since Rose's arrival is very interesting. Their incomings read exactly like ours do in a typical summer (in terms of money spent ) Normally about 10-15m spent.
However they have managed to sell players for very large fees since Rose took charge. He appears to be very very able to spot a player in the exact market we shop in. They made nearly 50m profit from transfer dealing after Rose's first season.

They sold a lad called Haidara for 18m in the summer, 10 months after signing him for free.

That same summer they also sold a defender Caletacar to Marseille for 18m, he was also a free transfer.

In terms of the current squad- he has brought in some absolute gems, the current squad is very highly valued and include the likes of Dabur (bought for 4m Euros) who is being touted for 30m moves to Liverpool in Jan and is expected to go to a top European club this summer. He's not the highest valued player in the squad either the defensive mid Semessouko is valued higher and he was a free transfer from another Austrian side. Their squad is worth a fair bit more than ours and was put together on a similar budget.
4 or 5 other players rated in the 10-15m range who were all brought in for very little.

He seems tailor made for us.

Doubt it but atleast with him becoming the fan favourite it might get the board to make a phone call to them that might not have been made otherwise.

If possible Rose is the obvious choice but he definitely seems out of reach. I think David Wagner did a remarkable job at Huddersfield. He'd be my realistic pick.

Lennon was perfect to come in on an interim basis but the more I think of it the more I think it may be a mistake to hold onto him.

If he gets it permanently I won't really be disappointed though and he'll have my full backing.

People who suggested Rose after seeing his team play in the flesh, and on the tele, and after reading about his achievements are hipsters?

From whom would it be a valid suggestion then, Paul? A Red Bull Salzburg season-ticket holder?

    Like everyone else then.

Also using E-Tims as a source within a source, saying it’s a bit of a stretch is an understatement.
