...and just like that, all my dreams are dashed. Back to a life of celibacy I go.

Plus VAT so £720 per month for a private user.

Free delivery only available if you commit to 3x28 days hire minimum.

You've still got to insure it yourself too.

It works if you only need a car for a short time. If they manage to get people stuck in the cycle of continuous hire it's massively expensive.

You can get a near £80k BMW X3 Competition for £549 on PCP just now.

That’s a silly amount of money to drive a Golf for 3 months and hand it back.

I’m going hybrid next car, either a 330e or 530e. Only thing I can see the 3 Series has over the 5 is an extra 50 brake in sport mode. Don’t think that’s enough to chose it over the bigger and more comfortable option.

There are much better short term lease prices if you shop around.

If you’ve got a motor why are you wanting a rental car?

I seen that deal. The car didn't get a great write up though.

The VAG group have too much influence over the motoring press. They can't afford to be negative about VAG products of they'll do themselves out of a job.

Even a large proportion of Golf R owners end up admitting that it's a bit dull to drive. They lack fun and character.

Just do what everyone else does to get a Golf R. Steal one. :giggle1:

I've not had a shot in one. I haven't found any SUV much fun to drive. Throwing 500bhp at it will at least make it quick.

An £80k car for £549 is cheap though.

No interest to me as I'm not in the market for a SUV and my cars aren't financed.

Don't think I could afford anything wit that power mate inless you could find more bhp for a decent deal Golf R is my limit drean notor
Lacking fun and character mate all in I have about 11 grand including my motor so probably better off with a 28 day lease before breaking the bank .It's 16 grand for a decent Golf R 5 yr old 15 16 plate.

An Audi SQ7 is plenty fun to drive, ferocious power in a straight line.

I've got a range rover sport at the moment, I will probably get shot of it in March when it is 3 years old. Dont know if I want to stick with a SUV or get an estate car (330 or s4) not sure what SUV I would buy tbh
