He’s in real need of a break, since he’s came back from injury he hasn’t looked as sharp, must be running on empty.

That ball for the first goal get's better everytime you see it..

It's one thing seeing a man making a run but hitting it pinpoint like that at that angle quite low, is class..

    Much better today overall..

CM: We are going there as champions but we know how difficult these games are. We are fully prepared for the game and ready to give a better account of ourselves than what we did last time.”

CM on last game at Ibrox: “We never played well enough on the day and that’s been burning in the players’ heads since. Everyone’s fully focused on the job.”

CM: “You learn a lot from days like that and we’ve not lost a domestic game since. That day helped us as you learn a lot in defeat. We are really looking forward to Sunday with a point to prove.”

CM: ”We’ve been back two days training. Everyone looks and feels good. We are all ready for the game.”

CALLUM McGREGOR has cranked up the heat on Rangers — insisting the pressure is all on them ahead of the final Old Firm clash of the season.

Celtic will walk out at Ibrox as newly-crowned champions having secured eight in a row against Aberdeen last week.

With the League Cup already back in the cabinet and a Scottish Cup Final still to savour, an historic treble Treble is within reach.

For Gers, there’s only pride left to play for — and that’s why McGregor quickly dismissed the notion Sunday is a meaningless match.

He said: “There is always a bit of spice in the fixture.

“It’s good we are going there as champions, full of confidence and playing well.

“The pressure is on them. They have to come and give their fans something to cheer about.

“We’ve won the League Cup, won the league and are in another Scottish Cup Final.

“All the pressure is on them.

“We go there with good confidence — not arrogance at all — just confidence that if we turn up on the day and play well then we can hope for a good result.”

Celtic suffered a first Old Firm defeat in 13 on their last visit to Ibrox.

That day, Rangers drew level on points with their bitter rivals, albeit having played a game more.

The arrivals of Steven Davis and Jermain Defoe in January further fuelled belief that Gers could claim a first league title in seven years.

But as they faltered after the winter break, Celtic kicked on.

And McGregor admits there’s a desire on their part to put the wrongs of December 29 right on Sunday.

The Hoops star said: “For us, we have a bit to prove as well, coming off the back of the December match there.

“We didn’t do ourselves justice that day and it has been burning in the back of the players’ heads since then — that when we go there again we have to give a much better account of ourselves.

“I think that was the one time in a two-and-a-half or three-year period when the boys didn’t turn up in a big match.

“We went away to Dubai after it, came back and have been brilliant. We have not lost a game, I think we have lost three goals domestically.

There has been a wee bit of negativity towards us for some reason, I don’t know why that is, but we have been fully focused since that day.

“We learned from it and came back a lot stronger. Obviously we went on to win the league as well.

“There just seems to be a negative aura around it this year. The boys have been playing well, winning games and are in the Cup final. If we win that it will be a treble Treble, but apparently it’s been a poor season.

“We’ve always been focused on our job, knowing if we prepare well and turn up on the day then we’ll get the job done.

“I don’t know why it’s been negative but we’ve always tried to prove on the pitch everything is fine, despite the change in manager and everything.

“We actually have more points this season than last year, so I think it’s more of a perception thing.

“Since the turn of the year we have been in our best form over a six-month period to secure the league and another Cup final.

“It could top off a great year for us. We are in a good place.”

Like every other football fan, McGregor savoured the drama of two incredible Champions League semi- finals this week.

He added: “They were both unbelievable games of football.

“The comebacks in both games show you that anything is possible in football. Both teams looked down and out, but they have the mentality to keep going.

“We have seen it so many times in football when the scoreline has been 2-0 or 3-0.

When you get the next goal the tie changes. Both games were perfect examples of that.

“Spurs put the ball in the back of the net in the fifth minute of injury-time. Football never surprises you.

“It is one of these games where anything can happen. This year’s competition has shown you that.”

Mac admits he’ll be cheering on Liverpool in the final because of his ties with Virgil van Dijk and Andy Robertson

McGregor said: “When Virgil played up here he strolled it every single week. When he left the boys knew he would do well.

“It is always difficult when you come from Scotland to make that jump straight away due to the perception of the football here.

“Teams look and don’t really know.

“Players have to take that middle step to prove they can play in the Premier League.

“But within a season or two Virgil has become the best defender in the world. Nobody can doubt that fact.

“He has been outstanding in every game I have seen them play.

“You can see why Liverpool are challenging for Champions Leagues and Premier Leagues.

“He has made such a big difference. Everyone down the road is speaking about that.

“It is good to know he has been in a dressing room with you and you have played on the same pitch. Anything can happen in football.”

Needs a rest as much as KT. He’s spent.

Not that Lenny playing him where and how he did, did him any favours.
