Seen there isn't a thread for the Bundesliga this season already, can one of you mods sticky this?

Anyway, new season on the horizon. Here are the opening fixtures.

    Bayern Munich v Werder Bremen
    Borussia Dortmund v Mainz
    Cologne v Darmstadt
    Eintracht Frankfurt v Schalke
    Hamburg v Inglostadt
    Augsburg v Wolfsburg
    Monchengladbach v Leverkusen
    Hertha Berlin v Freiburg
    Hoffenheim v RB Leipzig

A good season to come I reckon. Dortmund have had three massive players in Hummels, Gundogan and Mkhitaryan removed. However, they've made some very neat replacements in the form of Bartra, Raphael Guerreiro, Rode, Gotze, Schurrle, Ousmane Dembele, as well as Emre Mor and Mikel Merino who have a lot of potential. As well as the likes of Julian Weigl and Christian Pulisic who broke into the first team last season and will improve further. They could have a real shot at the title this year if their new signings are on form. Although I do worry that Bartra doesn't have the same kind of qualities Hummels does, he was absolutely key to the way Dortmund have played in recent years.

Bayern have got Ancelotti in as well as Renato Sanches and Mats Hummels. They haven't lost any major players (perhaps Gotze, but he barely started any games last season) so they still look very strong. Ancelotti is a quality manager who quickly adapts to anywhere he goes so they are still very much the favourites. It's definitely not a sure thing though.

Leverkusen are a team that could really upset the apple cart this season. They have a team with a lot of potential and have added two good players, Julian Baumgartlinger and Kevin Volland who I really like. They've already got quite a strong team with guys like Javier Hernandez, Hakan Calhanoglu and Karim Bellarabi. Also excellent youngsters like Julian Brandt and Jonathan Tah. Definitely one to look out for.

RB Leipzig, who were formed in 2009, are in the top flight for the first time this season. They're owned by Red Bull and basically bought their way from the 5th tier up to the top. As would be expected, nobody in Germany likes them. Personally I hope they go down, but they won't. They've got good players and will probably achieve a stable mid-table finish. Absolute *...

As a Bayern fan, always want them to win, but I also think the Bundesliga is a superb league to watch. I know Bayern have ran away with it in the last couple of years, but some of the games have been great to watch. Much better than the English leagues.
Dortmund have added a few quality players, and Leverkusen are always good to watch, so bring it on. Can't wait

Easily my favorite league to watch overall. Been to a few Bayern games and had a blast in Munich.

Here is the US, Fox sports will be covering the Bundesliga all year! I can't wait!

I think Ancelotti is actually an underrated manager, one of the best around, treated like * by Real and although i'd like someone to upset the status quo I can't see anything other than an easy Bayern title again.

So many promising talents in Germany, mostly homegrown as well. They could dominate international footy for 20 years.

Been hearing a lot in particular about Draxler, Volland and Brandt for awhile now, hopefully this year they can really show what they're about.

Be interesting to see what Wolfsburg do, I always like watching them and they seem like a German Southampton - always losing their best players but still seem to recover and sign someone else just as good.

    Some difference from last season.

Dortmund V Bayern games last season, Bayern seemed to dominate 70% possession and have Dortmund pinned back in their own half almost the entire game.

This one it's Dortmund who are having all the possession and Bayern who are counter attacking.

Probably the change in tactics from Guardiola to Ancelotti, be interesting if Bayern are still as good.

Might have just cursed them though, put £10 on them and Andy Murray to win 3-1.

Bayern almost scored as im typing :smiley-laughing002: missed a sitter.
