KT can’t last the tempo he’s being playing at over the last few years, surely to Christ Rodgers knows this - why hasn’t this, along with the CB issue, no been addressed?

And moving McGregor to accommodate Brown....just doesnae work I’m afraid.

So aye, I think both the players and management need to take responsibility.

BR: The first 15 minutes we started well. Good control and pressed the game well. Valencia are a team who wait on your mistakes. They were very organised and compact. We made too many mistakes and they capitalised on that.

Yeah KT away but I would’ve started Hayes tonight. Either way , neither of the 2 fill me with confidence.

Issue we’re gonna have is convincing a half decent LB to play second fiddle.

We don't have the personnel to out-perform better teams consistently at this level. Pragmatism should have been adopted long ago.

Until we do that performances like tonight, Salzburg (both legs), Gladbach, Anderlecht will continue to occur.

I don't want to hear the line "we'll learn from this" again. I want to see the evidence that we have by way of improved performance.

 

This is not Brendan's mess. I do hate how he insists on passing it around the back (always dangerous) but he is trying to create a team that's doesn't fear anyone, a team that's holds it's own in Europe, we cannot fault the man for that.

But look at that back line, Izzy comes back (on free if I remember correctly and injured) and a loan on toljan. Next to simunovic, he isn't up to the mark and boyata a huffy * who isn't brilliant either. What's the total cost of that back line? Less then £6M I'd imagine? As a outlay atleast. And during a week we are giving it large about how much in the black we are!? Not Rodgers fault at all. All at the top in my mind

A game that was gonna be grueling for our midfield trio with how they pass, move and press and we didn't have one centre mid on the bench?
