    Kouassi will come good. He might seem like money wasted but not all these guys will have an immediate impact.

    Gamboa will play more this season as well.

    More too Brendan will have to make do in some instances just now in order to keep certain players of quality that are in our side... Still see cb getting bought though

    Half a dozen players could leave tomorrow and you wouldn't even notice they were gone, guys are picking up a wage and for whatever reason they hardly feature in the first team, i really think more should be done to address this.


    The likes of Benyu, just cannot understand why we signed him, i'd rather bring through some of the youth players than continue to waste money.

    Shame he hasn't brought in anybody to make the defence better. The thing is that money does not include signing on fees, agents fees and salaries. More than 6 odd million has been thrown away.
    I would also say that players such as Sviatchenko and Jozo regressed as players under Brendan. Brendan knows how to attack but he really has no clue how to organise a defence. Lustig, while still a good player, cannot fit into the Brendan style. He is slower than he was 2 years ago and can't keep up the pace. I think Brendan has to learn to organise the defence based on what you have rather, he seems to base them on a chosen tactic that works purely around the front 5 or 6.

    Dembele cost 500k in development fees, and only came because we offered a wage way higher than to those in the "failure" list. So even the sucesses who were free costed money.

    We knew he was a young guy bought for the future when he came in. I don’t think he’s failed in that remit. He splashed out a biggish transfer fee on potential, not on what he currently is.

    I don’t think anybody within the club has ever pretended any different. So in that regard, I don’t think he’s failed.

    I'd rather we bought the finished article, someone who can make a contribution immediately, than pay that kind of money for someone who may take years to develop, i think the money could be better spent tbh.
