I wish him everything except the best and success! I hope the rat gets relegated, becomes unemployed and has to sit and watch Lenny lift the 10th

My 85 year old Dad wrote this poem and sent it to me this morning

    Say it ain't so, Brendan,

    Say it ain't so.

    You kissed the badge,

    You waved the flag,

    You even sang the songs.

Was it a lie? Were you a fraud?

Were you planning to leave all along?

You talked of records and legends,

You promised to "go for ten."

You compared your players to the Lisbon Lions,

Leigh Griffiths? Scott Brown? a ludicrous claim.

    You talked and talked again.

But when it finally came to the crunch,

Ambition trumped loyalty, your sentimental past,

    And you joined another bunch.

    Oh Brendan, how could you?

You took your thirty pieces of silver,

Smiling all the way to the bank.

Were you always waiting for the call

    To rejoin the EPL?

    But poor old Leicester City?

Not Arsenal, Spurs, Man U or City,

(Not even Aston Villa, to join John McGinn)

But a no-name middling Midland mob,

    The quintessential nonentity.

Where are their songs, their legends, their myths?

A grand old team to play for?

With household names like Wes Morgan? Mark Albrighton?

    And the iconic Jamie Vardy?

    (The other foreign mercenaries

    Having long ago departed.)

It's enough to make your heart grow sad.

Now that you have taken the foreign queen's shilling,

You have started to talk again.

Promises of "special things", and the self-made hype,

Which, alas, you will end up believing.

For the team and their supporters, you say,

To lay down your life you are willing.

    Taffies, Scousers and Glasgow Tims

    Have heard that speech before.

    Just like the other phonies,

    You also had your price.

    Learn from history, Brendan bhoy,

And the same errors, do not make.

Those who don't learn from their own mistakes

Are doomed to repeat them, the wise men state.

    Brendan, Brendan, gone already!

Ah, sure, we hardly knew ye!

And you just broke our heart.

Were you but another foreign coach,

Who stole our myths and legends,

    To return to the EPL?

You'll end up like your predecessors,

    Used and binned, discarded,

    Just another tale to tell.

And when they come to write the final Celtic story,

You will not be away up there,

Sitting in the pantheon of the "greats,"

    Alongside Jimmy McGrory,

With Willie Mailey, Big Jock Stein, and the best of the best.

You will be mired in mediocrity,

Just above Lou Macari, Tony Mowbray, wee Gordon and the rest,

Like the Norwegian comedian, the other Ronny,

Of whom at least it can be said ,

The poor wee man, he did his best.

You'll be well below Big Billy and wee Tommy Burns,

In the minds and hearts of the faithful,

As long as this world turns.

Talking about the helicopter crash in his first press conference sums the guy up.
You can’t get any lower than using a tragedy for your own personal gain.
Not for the first time this week he’s let himself down badly there.

I'm looking to start a European version of the Fyre festival. I wonder would it cost much to get Brendan on board

He's wasted in football. Could have brought a peaceful united Ireland years ago or if he so pleased a cure for cancer
