The above articles discuss the increasing trend of males, young and *, wearing make up. Do you think we'll ever get to a point where male make up is as common as it is for women?

I've never worn it and don't plan to, I'm comfortable with myself and tbh, I'm not interested in spending the time it takes to apply it properly.

If I had a son that was into it, I wouldn't have an issue with it. What about you?

Couldn't care less what folks want to do with their own bodies..

We have a young laddie at work who comes in clarted in foundation. He's feminine, but we've never asked if he's gay or transgender. It's none of our business. If it makes him happy, then I'm delighted for him.

Would quite like one of the lasses to take him aside though and show him how to put the * stuff on properly - its caked on like a cement filling between two building bricks!

Nothing wrong with a bit of make up on a man, a little bit of foundation goes a long way.

Each to their own I suppose.

If it was my son though, I'd make sure he knew how to fight because a boy going to school in make up is going to need to at least once

    Not my thing.
Anyway ,who's going to see my makeup when I stroll down Maryhill Rd on a Sunday morning in my gimp mask.

I wonder why it is not considered effeminate for actors to wear make-up; it tends to be more subtle, I guess.

Like Minty, I am not sure I could be arsed with all the effort.

Are we talking about straight men wearing make-up? The picture in the second article features three gay men; I am not sure that their wearing make-up is that controversial.

Whoever is wearing it, less is more when it comes to make-up:

It's a * of a thing that people see it as part of their identity to wear it no matter what, it's almost an addiction.

Personally wish we could do away with it for everyone, there is so much pressure on people socially to look a certain way and some feel they can't achieve that unless they change how they look and hide who they are, some of the skills some people have with make up is insane that truly can change how someone looks.

But * it if a man/boy whoever wants to wear make up let them, just so long they know how to apply the * that it's not left on my clothes :fear:

Don't have an issue. Not for me but if it makes someone happy or more confident. Men were the first to wear make up. Going back to the Egyptian Pharos who would never go without their slap. Also the house of Versailles was a powerhouse through Europe, Run by men in wigs and makeup. So all just coming around again.:39:
