    In our second semi, it was the Swedish sisters, Klara & Johanna Soderberg - aka First Aid Kit - up against the hippie commune, aka Fleetwood Mac, featuring the vocals of Nicks and McVie.

    But who would it be?


    How would the Jury view this?

    As it turned out, it was a pretty lopsided end result, overwhelmingly in favour of 1 over the other, to the tune of...

    Congrats to Fleetwood Mac, setting up a Finale worthy of this edition of BotB!

    Sadly this means that First Aid Kit has been toppled kist short of reaching the end, but coming up against one of Fleetwood Mac's classics was never going to be an easy task. I don't think I'm the only one who has discovered something new here - or it could just be that I am hopelessly out of touch and the whole world knows of them... which wouldn't surprise me either, ahah.

    Commiserations to @Caroline1989 who guided them all the way to the Final 4 on debut, including a number of Group stage wins and a strong showing throughout! Well done! Shame to go out on the wrong side of such a lopsided scoreline, as every previous round proved thir quality. Think it just said more about Fleetwood Mac at this point.

    Here it is at last! A true showdown featuring 2 serious all time heavyweights of the music industry, with combined record sales of 500 Million between them!!!

    Madonna, the biggest selling female solo artist of all time. A figure who has remained as much an icon as when first made her mark, more than 30 years, with a career that has courted it's share of controversy as much as it has encountered success in the studio, on stage and even the silver screen!

    Fleetwood Mac, a band that has evolved so much over the years and had released 4 albums before a female voice was even heard for the first time, as Christine McVie and Stevie Nicks in the years that followed, would see the band truly achieve lasting success, with the two women tag teaming and sharing the limelight, spanning more than 40 years.

    Only one can win however!

    So to the 2 Finalists, it's time for you to put up your case.

    For the Final as always, you need to provide a showcase of your artist.

    Three Songs that were originaly featured on three seperate album/releases. You can choose live versions, studio or even alternative versions, but the original had to have come from 3 seperate releases.

    At which point this passes to the Jury, and they will ultimately decide who will be crowned champion of BotB XII!

    It is now entirely in the hands of the Jury. There is potentially 20 sets of points up for grabs here.

    Jury, you each have 5 points to distribute as you see fit between the 2 Artists.

    However you wish to do this is entirely up to you.

    Everyone except for the 2 Finalists (and myself, lol) are eligible to vote.

    Deadline

    So there is plenty 8pmof time for folk to listen to 6 songs, it should take about half an hour at most and with that in mind, everyone should have an opportunity to to get this done ahead of

    SUNDAY

    8pm

    With the results reveal taking place shortly thereafter, approx 9pm on Sunday.
