    XII: The Ghirls Are Back in Town

    Welcome to the 12th edition of Battle of the Bands.

    This time out the focus is going to be on Female Vocalists.

    This can be either solo artists or bands that have a female vocalist.

    Some of you may recall that the previous time female talents were featured it was so long as they were a full time member of a band. Which allowed for Talking Heads to walk away with the honours, by virtue of bassist Tina Weymouth. This time however, the voices are also necessary.

    Bands that feature both male and female vocalists, such as Spiderbait or Sonic Youth are allowed, however only the songs featuring the lead female vocals or duets are eligible.

    As for solo artists, songs featuring a secondary artist are all eligible also.

    Am looking to get this underway next Friday, so anyone interested has a week to get in an artist and song selection.

    The first round is going to be the LIVE round. It's a feature of every BotB, so you all know it is coming anyhow, lol. It can in concert, TV appearance etc, so long as it is live.

    So many to choose from that have been overlooked over so many BotB. Am sure you all have your favourites or guilty pleasures, so time to get out your appreciation for the xx chromosone and let's get it on!

    Time to whip 'em out... for the Girls!

    Depends on amount of participants but usually put into groups and you vote on the groups you aren't involved in..

    Then it's gets whittled down like a World Cup, into a final.. sometimes you get a playoff round and a chance to redeem yourself if you are in the bottom 2..

    Taz makes it clear each round so it's straight forward, updates and results on this thread and a separate one for the songs...
