Thanks for the advice on the bookstore. I will have to check it out next time I am in town for sure. Given you liked the Celtic Revolution you might like some of his other books. I have read his Celtic Myths and Legends and The Celts A History and liked them both. On a lighter note he also does a series of murder mysteries set in ancient Ireland under the pseudonym Peter Tremayne which are a fun read as well.

Finished George RR Martin's Game of Thrones book 5 A Dance With Dragons. Really enjoyed it and I am all caught up with the books now. But I have to say given this was published in 2011 and book 6 is still not out I would be so * if I had been reading the books as they were coming out originally with that kind of wait. That is just crazy and so bad. Hopefully book 6 at least comes out some time this year.

Took a bit of a trip down memory lane this weekend reading Volume 1 of the Adventures of Tintin which I enjoyed so much when I was a kid. The first volume includes Tintin in America and then Cigars of the Pharoh and The Blue Lotus which are connected stories.

Finished John Perkins The New Confessions of an Economic Hitman.

Cannot recommend the book highly enough. If you want to learn about the unethical and unscrupulous behaviour of the US in how it deviously controls and exploits other countries then you must read this book written by a man who was a former economic hitman himself. The revelations he makes while not surprising are still pretty stunning all the same.

    His podcast is great.
