Finished Faithful Place by Tana French. A crime thriller set in Dublin about a Garda undercover who's youth comes back to haunt him which was very enjoyable.

Erm, its a tricky one to say. I liked it! But the reviews on Good Reads there's a lot who don't. The trouble is that this book is based around 10 years later after the conclusion of the original trilogy.

Blomkvist feels different, then again he's been through the past experiences and he's probably around 50 now and Millennium has new, modern problems.
Salandar is in her mid 30s and is no longer a central character (though she's still present).

I think people just find it difficult to move on from the originals. As a new story, it holds its ground.

Just downloaded the latest one " The girl who takes an eye for an eye" didn't even know anything about it. Off this week so going to get stuck in and try and finish it before going back to work. Hope it doesn't disappoint.

With the World Cup finals getting underway I cracked out John Doyle's The World Is A Ball. Which is kind of a travelogue of the journalists travels through the World Cup Finals of 02, 06 and 2010 and the Euro Finals of 04 and 08. The book is more focused on the atmosphere surrounding the games and people watching the fans rather then focused on the actual matches themselves. Highly recommend it a great read and timely of course right now.

Finished Broken Harbor by Tana French. A fun read more of a psychological thriller ten her other books which are more straight crime drama but another good read from her.

He's got a tendancy to over do the character development which is either good or too much depending on what side of the fence you're on unnecessarily dragging the story out.

The paleo cure by Chris Kresser,

Interesting read for anybody into healthy living, not a diet book but more about how certain medical conditions are caused by and can be cured by a persons diet.
