He's probably sound as *, and Celtic through and through. But he talks a lot of * when it comes to our transfer doings and pretends to be in the "know" when really he's not

The original quote was regarding players staying on loan for prolonged periods. Forster was a 2 hear loan (albeit 2 seperate deals) so it can happen. Fingers crossed it would be the case for paddy as well.

:56: Big Fraser was Newcastle's poor judgement, they didn't think he was any good. Messi says he's one of the best he's faced :39:

I think if you're loaned to Madrid you've reached the peak so that's why he could be left there.

My worry is City might think he needs a different challenge even if it means no chance of CL football.

But my hope is they would prefer European experience and take the gamble because Brendan is such a good mentor and has a great backroom staff he'll progress in ways a better rated team couldn't offer. What level of EPL team is going to guarantee as much first team?

But City might even sell him which is where we'll have bother. It would be great if we could get him for a budget rate but have a high percent sell on rate?

But we can't worry about it as it's up to him and City. Plus we've got Brendan so there's a good possibilty of another young talent being offered for ninja lessons from Brendan and Celtic.

That's the paradox about loans, if we develop a talent as well as we've shown the price of the player is way beyond our own. But Paddy is young enough to be patient and stay here to learn because he'll be a much better player I think than anywhere else possible.

Still want him but can't see it. Not for an unreasonable price, anyway.

I agree, if the club were to break a transfer record then I would hope it was for someone better than Bojan. Previous posters have stated that Stoke signed for around 2m so for them to want to sell for 4 times that is a joke given they deem him surplus and not good enough to command a place in their team.

Wouldn't wages be the main obstacle to this???

Assuming a fee was agreed and player wanted the move.

    Aye I agree.

I've changed my stance a bit I must admit. I rate him and think Rodgers could get his best form back but like you say the price they are looking for is unreasonable.

If we are going to really push the boat out...I'm not sure.

Anyway I highly doubt it. When the only people reporting it are Paul the Tim and the KDS crew it is right to be sceptical.

The money in England is outrageous. When we were 1st linked I thought hes worth around 4 odd million. Then hear Stoke want 12 but may take 8 from a team outside EPL. For a guy as you say who cost 2 million and cant get in their team its almost an insulting price tag.

Madness that some people are saying breaking our transfer record to sign a stoke city squad player would he a 'coup'.

He's a 2/3million player, hence why stoke got him for that. Sitting on a pl bench for a few years doesn't add 5mil to your value.
