R I P Billy . He was a true great for Celtic . My love for Celtic developed because of my Dad's support of the club . He passed away due to vascular dementia , so I know only too well the emotions family members will go through with this loss . I was lucky to see big Billy play for , and captain Celtic on many occasions . Also saw him lift several trophies , and can vouch that he was a towering presence on , and off , the park .

Managed to hold it together until the end of that there. We are losing them 1 by 1! All those people who went to Lisbon by hook or by crook!

Gutted to hear this. Said to ma boy that he had passed away and despite only being 8, he says "aye well the legends team in heaven just got a lot better!" Made me smile.

Spoke with my Granda tonight who was telling me about our European Cup Quarter Final 2nd leg v Vojvodina, game locked at 1-1 on aggregate and looking like it was heading to penalties...then up leapt Billy to nod in the winner in the last minute to take us through to the Semi Final. How different things could've been in the lottery of penalty kicks.

Footage below if anyone wants to watch...

Might even have been a coin toss rather than pens?
