Best Scottish comedy?

for me its rab c still game then scotch and wry. I watched the first 15 minutes of the first limmys show. needless to say I didn't watch anymore than that. burnistoun I didn't watch when it was on but ive seen a few of the sketches including two litres of death and the lift sketch feckin brilliant. been meaning to watch more of it ill need to get round to it.

Got all the Scotch N Wry DVD's and Rikki Fulton was brilliant.

However, I will put Scotch N Wry just behind Chewing the Fat and Still Game. Apart from jack and Victor, The big man and the neds and tuechters sketches were always good. Also that taysiders in space sketch was genius.

 

Chewin the fat probably had a few more genius moments than Still Game but Still Game was consistently good, something you can watch over and over again because you can identify with the characters.

Burnistoun is another show that had some real standout moments but being a sketch show, you can't get invested in characters.

I really hope Still Game makes a return, I couldn't say that about any comedy except Fools, and that isn't going to happen.

 

Yeah I hope they do another series as it doesn't seem to work live as well from what I seen. Even the bit part characters they created like the giant highlander, the loner who likes McDonalds and the guy with the burger van were good.

 

I wonder if they might be working on a series of them when they were younger, with their wives and that. Like the Hogmanay episode.

That would be great if it was done right. Lot more scope for character progression too.
