whats the point in bringing guys like lassad and miku in if your not going to play them when your other forwards/strikers are injured/unfit

but lennon went with the 1st team of choice if they were fit when they clearly weren't and it backfired

You obviously know nothing about Gary Hooper if you think Georgios Samaras is a better striker than him. Try watching Gary Hooper play a few times instead of just believing what Portuguese newspapers tell you.

Why would we want to sell our most important European player? Utterly staggering that some Celtic fans are still blind to what he offers and I actually agree that overall he is a better forward than Hooper but not goalscorer and they are two completely different things.

Biggest disappointment for me was the lack of creativity going forward. Their second goal was coming and they deserved it.

Cannot understand why we kept pumping the ball up to hooper, he was never going to win a header or hold the ball up against luisao.

Also a bit * off that neil and the players walked off without coming over to the fans, i wasn't expecting a lap of honour bit a little bit of appreciation for near on 10000 celtic fans making the trip over wouldn't have been to difficult.

One final note, the benfica fans bowing at the celtic fans was a proud moment for me and something i'll never forget, nor will i forget that the police and stewards out couldn't organise a * up in a brewery and created trouble for themselves.

Anyway, had a great time, partied all week and away to enjoy the Portuguese sunshine for one final night.

 

Benfica fans seem sound as * - at least the ones who came on here and the ones at the match. It's always refreshing to see mutual respect at the fitba.

Agreed... A weak attempt from near the tunnel by a few of the players

 

maybe they knew it was a pathetic attempt and didnt want to make it worse by paying homage to the fans

plus we got mauled in a lot of ways it was worse than barcelona game at least there everybody knew what was coming
this game really shocked us about how we couldn't when tested against a decent footballing side play back at them
