Ye i agree on the 4 months thing,i just hope he,s not getting into the first 11 because of the price we paid for him.
At the end of the day no matter what his value if he,s playing poor he should be dropped.
But as ye said its early days yet.

The fear factor is the glass ceiling in games against top level opposition. We can get results against them, home or away, if we just believe in ourselves a bit more.

Get the ball on the deck, pass it, keep moving, open up gaps, work it forward in stages. We try this for 5 mins then as soon as we hit a line of players standing at the edge of our 18 yard box the gameplan goes out the window.

We start punting it up the field to no one. Come under constant pressure, fluff easy passes, heads go down. Go 2-0 down, start trying to play, look decent for a 5 minute spell, concede again. Same old story.

I'm not saying these teams are always gonna be there for the taking, but we'll never know if we don't try playing them at football.

We're not a load the box, lump it up the park team. We're not designed to play that way and we're not good at it. I'd rather we lost 6-0 because we were outplayed than lose 3-0 because we didn't even try to play.

We're not here to make numbers. It's not a privilege to play these teams. We're here on merit, and we need to start acting like it.

Otherwise we might as well only bother watching two group stage games.

I am not that * with Ntcham but maybe is because I never expected that much from him.

He had some awful games but scored vital goals many times.

We were never getting a draw tonight no matter what.
We did improve in the 2nd half but they were 3 up for the majority of the half and i think they didnt push as much which allowed us back into the game .

to be fair a lot of people were raving about him after Astana as he was excellent but plenty of time for him
Last year we were just delighted to get to champions league group stages, came 4th with a few good results on the way
Most fans were saying this year, progress (niedercorn) would be to get 3rd and grab a Europa league spot which we are on course for
With PSG and Bayern in our group it's not being negative it's just being realistic

we play every game with 2 wingers

in past years under strachan or lennon we would never play with 2 wingers maybe one but never 2

maybe that is something we could change for playing the bigger teams

armstrong or ebou playing left or right midfield

Arsenal have many times the budget we have and famously lose 5-1 every time they play them so not sure how much better we can do than that tonight although I accept that's a depressing thing to accept, a lot of "if"s there in your summary of the second half but the other if is if they hadn't of been 2 up they would have been playing at a far higher tempo than they were

We dont have the money to buy the players we need..

Its meant to be the Champions league not the " Richest teams in the world league " * a fourth place team gets into the " Champions League " until it becomes an even playing field again "

Feyenoord ,Ajax, Nottingham Forest , Aston Villa ,Hamburg SV, Steaua Bucharest, PSV Eindhoven, Red Star Belgrade, Will any of those teams win it again

Not too disappointed with the result. We were away from home against a team worth about 50 times our team. A home win against Anderlecht should secure the Europa place.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but would I be right in thinking Porto under Mourinho were the last club you consider outside the elite group who have actually won it

We weren't aggressive enough tonight. Can't think of one bad tackle other than Mullers on Brown. Against these better teams we've got to let them know they're in a game and commit fouls to break their play up a bit. Against PSG I think the stats showed we committed 3 fouls in the whole of the first have. Under MON it would have been 3 fouls in the first five minutes.

Probably wouldn't have mattered in the end but thought the Muller tackle on Brown in the first minute was a shocker and he could've been off.

Said it the last CL game Griffiths should be no where near the team, he's a cracking striker in the SPFL but thats about it.

Also, Tierney distribution of the ball is poor, has been for a while yet no one wants to pick up on this.

Second half we fought much better, Gordon really is abysmal as a modern day keeper, cost us the 3rd.

anyway, could have been worse, didn't expect anything from tonight, think we will give them a better game at home with Dembele fully fit

I'm convinced that affected Browns performance. It hurt him. Nasty tackle.
