Even though it was a disappointment, in fact it's probably only second to Mass Effect 3 in terms of squandered potential for me, I always wanted a direct sequel to AC3.

I quite liked the idea of having AC3 being the centre point of a saga, so something like:

Black Flag > Haytham game (instead of what we got with Rogue) > AC3 > Sequel with older Connor and/or his child > Connor's grandchild (Civil War setting)

You could have alternated between a prequel & sequel with the yearly releases.

@Dear Hunter turns out, well so far anyway I have had zero game breaking bugs. The Liberation contracts weren't bugged just not explained properly or obvious what they were representing on the in game map i.e is this done, do I need to go and talk why can't I talk is this still ongoing and so on.

Managed to complete the liberation of Boston something I couldn't do when the game came out because of the bugs these missions suffered from, seems that is fixed now.

Spending time doing stuff I couldn't do when I first played it, again because of the bugs. So the homestead although sort of pointless has given me a few more hours of play time. I still feel the menu screens are way over complicated or they just aren't explained properly.

The main story is decent Connor is dull as you know, still the pacing issues are jarring as *. It's a shame because an Assassin native American is a * awesome idea, I literally creamed my pants back when this was announced.

You should have another go at it, I feel with the time that has past and the fact that the bugs the game was plagued with have now been addressed (from what I can see) has done the game favours.

I'll definitely play it over the summer.

I never did much Homestead stuff, but I wish I did. Some of it looks quite cool and I always like improving/building the assassin's home base.

One of the big annoyances about the game is that Haytham is far more interesting than Connor. Like you said, he's just dull. Which is a shame because his default assassin's outfit is my favourite in the series!

This new Assassin's Creed Origins has me really excited. Loving the loot drops and more RPG elements to the game.

I've not really been into Assassins Creed recently, the last one I played was 3 come to think of it, but what are the most recent few like? I might get this if it keeps getting good reviews

In my opinion Syndicate is the best AC bar none

Might pick it up further down the line.

Best one I've enjoyed and played right through was III. And it seems to get some of fhe worst reviews.

I thought it was class. The era really made it for me.

Bought Origins earlier tonight. Played it for a couple of hours and I'm enjoying it so far.

The combat is vastly different to the previous AC games. In fact, the game as a whole feels very different. Very much an RPG feel to it now.

    Black flag was an abomination.

Hated the constant sea battle pish.
