is this team strong enough to qualify for Champions League?with players we have signed,we will look something like this,Bain Ralston Jullien Ajer Tierney Brown McGregor Forrest Christie Johnston Edouard. For what it’s worth I would say we will struggle to qualify with this team. Investment is badly needed.

Even with signings, it’ll likely be a struggle to qualify, if we get to the playoff round.

What makes you think that’s the team?

He’ll go with Forrest as a wingback until we get a right back in IMO. Maybe not in the league but qualifiers 100%

I’ll be surprised if Tierneys fit for any of them as well

To answer the question, it should be. But weak links get punished at that level in that pressure cooker environment. Very rarely a walk in the park no matter the opposition.

Lustig was a weak spot last season and was done twice at the byline which resulted in 2 AEK goals, if I recall correctly - He still hasn't been replaced and we are now in a worse position at right back!

If Julien and Boli have taught us anything its that we are always working away in the background.

We are through to the next round. There will be more signings shortly

Rushing new signings can result in chaos too.

All massively depends on the draws we get, even with signings beating the likes of young boys or Slavia Prague would be a massive task, however if we get lucky with the draw and get one of the weaker sides we’ve a good chance.

A right back should have been signed as soon as we knew Lustig was leaving,it’s unbelievable a Club our size only has 1 rb(youth player)on our books, going into Champions League qualifiers.I hope Ralston makes it,I really do but if Lennon didn’t fancy playing him midweek then he clearly isn’t trusted.

No just saying. People were calling for Van Dijks head after his debut.

With a new management team and different people in charge of recruitment.

We’re starting from scratch here basically.

Depends on the draw and the oppositions approach imo. If we play somebody decent and they come and press us high, we're probably *.

As things stand our club doesn't have a first team ready right back. Not one. Crucial games coming up. At least as far as us supporters ate concerned.

I always enjoyed playing against teams that tried to press high against Lenny’s teams, even his Hibs team were excellent at exploiting the gaps it leaves. It’s if we can bed that in properly between now and the rest of the qualifiers.

Lustig was hardly the difference two * balls in the box and between McGregor, Ajer and KT over both games couldn't pick up 1 man in each game.

Lustig got beat with pace for a long ball which their fullback hit a last ditch cross which Ajer leaves and KT marks noone, and 2nd game Lustig blocks first one and guy hits a second * roller along our goal and not 1 Celtic player can stick out a leg, CM sleeping at back post, guy taps in.

We need to get a grip defensively, ball watching extroardinaires we turn into in Europe.

IMO Lustig was the reason went out to Athens. For at least two seasons he has been standing off wingers until they get in or near our box and then doing one of two things.Letting a cross come in or committing a foul. Against Athens at CP he was badly at fault for the first goal. He left acres behind him and was slow to react. He was worse in Athens. Aye his team mates could still have bailed him out, but he has been a weak link for long enough. And we still can't * replace him.
