    The Fields of Athenry
In west London Buckingham born and raised
In the palace is where i spent most of my days
Chilling out, maxing and relaxing all cool
With my Nans country all underneath her rule

When a flatmate of mine, who i thought was a square
Started making trouble in my underwear
She came to one little parade and my dad got scared
And said "you're marrying this girl before you lose all your hair"

I whistled for a carriage and when it came near
The ring said "Diana" and had a sapphire in the middle
If anything i could say this ring was rare
But my Dad said forget it - "yo holmes to the square!"

I pulled up to the Abby 'bout 11am
And I yelled to my people "yo holmes rule ya later"
    I looked at my kingdom
    I was finally there
To sit on my throne as the Prince with no hair.

TO be fair, leaving all the history and politics aside, its mainly lassies and old women who really are interested in it. Its the old fashioned wee girl's dream about being a princess and weddings etc that interests a lot of them. I cant be bothered getting hot under the collar about the royals. The crown really means the state and the royals have been powerless for over 300 years. The royals havent been responsble for British policy for 300 years. They were really just kept in a powerless form as a compromise after the English Civil Wars. Bottom line is there are loads of polls done and the majority have never wanted to punt them. Like it or not in a democracy they will remain in place until a majority want rid. As for Kate, some bod on her. I would!!

i must admit, I watched the first 30 mins of the ceremony on and off whilst getting ready to nip out and see some clients but I have to , Nay , I absolutely must congratulate the new young couple for giving us all a laugh

second hymn in "bread of heaven" which we football fans use to sing "We'll support you ever more, We'll support you ever more"

now we also used this melody to celebrate a certain MIchael Fagan who broke into the queens apartments in the early eighties

needless to say (in my empty house) I attempted a full operatic "MIchael Fagan Sha**ed the QUeen!" to each chorus whilst doing my tie and having a quick coffee

thank you William and Kate, you gave me a laugh

(thank you pippa, you gave me a stonner)

what fun you could make with those middleton girlies

Kate is Lovely, Pippa is quite spiffing and the Mother is fantastic for a mature quail.

If I was in a position of power like the young groomed grand master I would command all three of them to wash my socks :86:

I did notice Phillip chatting up that Pippa bird on the balcony. Lizzie was not amused. :56: Tbh, I'm not too bothered by the royals even if i think the institution of the monarchy is well past its sell by date though the nauseating show of "Britishness" (really Englishness) on our media today has been annoying; in any case they always find a way to * away the short-term public goodwill these weddings bring :56:
