Hmm. Not sure how reliable a tabloids restaurant review is.

But I am sure that people who comment on tabloid newspaper stories on facebook are all massive tubes.

Seen folk say that its not as good as when it opened on trip advisor.

I thought it hadn't been there that long?

I usually go to La Vita when im up that way but I remember it being another italian place there until fairly recently.

Not a fan personally, thought it was bang average and expensive. I did have a picture I’d sent to folk on WhatsApp at the time but can’t find it.

Women in work goes in every weekend right enough and swears by it. They must do cheap wine.

If you’re heading out this way for a munch Mariana in Kirky Main Street, doesn’t help you if it’s specifically a steak you’re after!

I had a mate in Bishy, he doesn’t live there anymore.

If he was still there I could have asked him, because he might have been there, I’d have to ask him though. But I doubt it.

If you're after a steak in Glasgow there's only one place to go currently.

The Spanish Butcher down Miller Street in the merchant. It is expensive but they sell Galacian Blond steaks, generally agreed to be better than wagyu.

The Spanish Butcher is probably the best steak I’ve ever eaten, anywhere in the world.

The service is top notch too, last time I was there I complained that it was slightly overdone. They took the steak and all the sides away and came back with completely new everything, and then took it all off the bill so I was only paying for drinks. That was a two person chateaubriand as well so not a cheap cut by any means. I genuinely felt like I had robbed the place when I was walking out :giggle1:

At the risk of sounding like a contrary *, par for the course, I didn’t like The Spanish Butcher.

It’s round the corner from the missus’ work so I’ve been a couple times. Steak once and pork the other, after a recommendation. Thought it was bang average.

The best steak in Glasgow is Tiffneys in Otago street. Incredible meal.

I was going to say that the dry aged Galician beef they use would be a something people either loved or just weren’t into at all. Its not really similar to any high end steaks I had eaten previously.
