If you offered me Stokes for Ciftci I'd take it in a heartbeat, obviously.

There's no point pining over him though, we've both moved on.

One is a striker and the other is a winger.

Stokes is a better striker. Forrest is a better winger.

I'll pine for whoever I want. I'll pine for Scott Allan when he goers too.
Stokes singlehandedly destroyed Rangers in the Cup Final, Forrest was ineffective against Rangers, always is.

I really do wonder if you're at the wind up, sometimes.

You will "pine for Scott Allan"? The guy who couldn't get a game at the worst team in the Championship down south. The guy who is nowhere near good enough to get near our team at the moment? Give it a * break.

Forrest is a winger first of all, and has been excellent this season and has started over Roberts who himself is a * of a lot better than Stokes.

Stokes for 87 goals for Celtic, millions of assists, saved Lenny's job twice. Could play effectively as winger and striker.
Tell me what has Forrest done ?

No * can answer what Forrest has done because he has done nothing.
Fucken ridiculous the way Stokes and Allan have been treated.

Last month we played 9 games. During that time Commons was loaned out to Hibs, says it all really.

Watched the Hibs game against Dundee United the other week. Aside from hitting set -pieces, he was largely unnoticeable. Ok, he hasn't played regularly, but he's done with Celtic. Hopefully we shift him off the wage bill sooner rather than later.

Stokes and Mulgrew likewise. Mulgrew might have been useful early on in the season, when we were struggling for CB's(if contracts weren't an issue). However the manager went with O'Connell, who never let us down.

Forrest has impressed Brendan Rodgers by upping his game and working his socks off. It doesn't matter what he has or hasn't done in the past, he's having a good season. It's irrelevant seeing as he wouldn't directly compete with Stokes anyway.

    What has Allan done?

This thread is not about Allan, it's a Stokes thread. Allan has never been given a chance, but of course you know that.
Ronny froze him out for Johansen. Brendan has never seen him play for Celtic.
It is most unfair to post that question about Allan.

Rodgers has seen him in training and obviously doesn't rate him. Hence the loan move to Rotherham, which failed.

That is a rubbish answer ES.
Training is nothing compared to real action in the first team.
Rotherham were a * team with a manager who ultimately got sacked.
    Give me a break.

Anyway back on track, I loved wee Stokes and was sad to see him go, but if we are being honest we have upped it a level with players and he wouldn't have got a look in.

And Allan is nothing more than a prospect still at the age of 25, no matter what way you spin it he isn't good enough, the tribute act was his level and he came here for the money, it's really quite simple.

The answer in the 1st sentence is why Stokes and Commons aren't/wouldn't be part of this squad. Rodgers doesn't facilitate individuals/individuality over the team ethic.

Well you see if Allan goes to Rangers because of you guys and turns it on there against us.
Then I am going to ram it down your throats every day on here.

    People need to move on.

We are unbeaten domestically, we're back in the CL and are playing some excellent football. I've seen numerous comments about Commons, Stokes, Mulgrew etc...they aren't here for a reason.

Trust the manager ffs. The guys served us well but you'd think they were Larsson-esque the way people pine over them.
