I never said that there was, mate, but that is how it is being portrayed.

Most painful for me is the alt-rightism in the * title.

    On a Tic website.

It’s going to give The Dark a pathetic wee hof lobber.

I like you Minty but you're all over the place here.

Young women already know they can achieve, we have a female PM, female Scottish First Minister, female German Chancellor to name but a few, it's patronising to say they don't know they can achieve I'm not sure how much inspiration they can draw from 'and women' being added to an AA renewal form.

I've already said I agree with the wording change to be inclusive rather than exclusive, it was yourself that brought up the Everyday Sexism Project. In doing so you opened up the conversation to discuss all types of sexism, that's not whataboutery.

There are marches and pressure groups they just get nowhere near the same coverage or column inches and have to resort to more outlandish acts to get publicity eg. Fathers 4 Justice climbing Buckingham Palace dressed as batman.

There is nothing wrong with specific interest groups, if they act as such. Feminism can choose not hold marches or activities to redress imbalances felt by men but don't then purport to be interested in equality, that's disingenuous and duplicitous.

They will regularly ask celebrities if they are a feminist, if they say no, there's a public outcry. Even in cases were they go on to say they are a humanist/egalitarian and against all inequality not just that against females, it's seen as a negative and they're scorned.

    I agree.

I think that’s a bit silly, mate. None of us would denigrate civil rights activists in Ireland or the USA, for instance, for focusing on issues that affect them personally.

This I agree with. Proper feminism is about equality for all but I don’t think that’s what it is anymore, Humanist/Egalitarian sums it up best.

It should all be about equality but the extreme sides always take it somewhere else and causes warp. It’s a * * * shame.

    Disagree.

Not much to none in terms of inspiration from the AA, hence why I've said it was trivial.

I don't find it patronising to suggest that considering that studies have shown plenty of women lack confidence to fulfil their ambition in the workplace. It's great that there are role models like Nicola Sturgeon for women, but it's argued that there aren't enough.

These are fair all fair points and I don't disagree.

Why do you want to know?

If I were being attacked, I would have no issue with hitting a woman in self defence.

Just curious if it would cross your mind not too, if she was a woman?

If you did, then technically that could be seen as being sexist no?

Of course not, that's not what I'm doing, I'm saying by all means identify yourself as a feminist and fight for your specific interests but don't misrepresent it as anything other than that and don't start witch-hunts against people that have legitimate reasons not to join your cause.

Depends that question, I’ve had a wee guy who couldn’t fight worth a * go for me before and I just laughed and kept him away from me.

Likewise I had a 6 foot monster of a lassie go for me and get me a few crackers and I produced a glorious * uppercut. Pretty sure I still lost that fight anaw :56:

It’s not so much gender that makes you think twice, it’s the level of threat.
