i agree with you about 3 at the back i just think it confuses the center backs as they are not used to playing 3 and leave attackers to each other, false economy at times, if we played against top opposition regularly and had good mobile center defenders then yeah i like the idea, i like the way germany played it with the central guy being a playmaker, like sammer back in the day

Massive long shot in the dark here, but anyone know of any pubs in the Broxburn/Uphall area that will be showing the match?

 

It's difficult to avoid being complacent 'cause Rogers has just sort of sailed through the Champions League since taking over. These qualifiers are always difficult though and in some way, probably the most nerve-wracking games of the season for me.

Alashkert have played 6 home games in Champions League qualifying and only lost once (To BATE Borisov). Can only imagine this is due to the sheer heat and playing weak opposition as opposed to them being a strong team.

Their manager (the previous Armenia national team manager) has brought in 'a host of new players in the past week' according to the BBC so we should be able to exploit their lack of organisation quite comfortably.
