    Was disappointed when we signed him, remember seeing him for Villa in the Intertoto if I remember and he got sent off.

    How wrong was I, awesome player.

    He'd be my lefty before Naka (another excellent player for us) as for me he had more to his game.

    Big game player, wonderful left peg and a great character.

    Thommo is in my top 3 favourite ever players absolutely loved the guy. A real big game player. Watching the highlights from the barca 1-0 game was absolutely class.

    He never missed a trick against the vermin, even from midfield.

    Scored some beauties against them, as well as important goals against the likes of Barcelona and Liverpool.
