You're not stupid, you can see that alot has change in scottish football in the last 50 years.

 

Firstly I dont hate you. I love everyone :icon_mrgreen:

But if so have watched Celtic for 50 years (way longer than I have) you should be aware that we have not competed in Europe during the vast majority of that period. During some periods we didnt even compete in Scotland. Everyone remembers 9 in a row and the European cup, but before that we werent even winning in Scotland, never mind Europe. And when we lost that team, we had no success until the relative success ONeil & Strachan. So I do not understand why you seem to think we "flop in Europe" more nowadays than we have over our long-term average?

Secondly, why do you assume that Celtic have a right to European success any more than any other team? Do you think last 16 in Europe is a "flop" and if so by whose standards are you comparing us to?

Last night I was very critical of Celtic and I do not buy the "its just a friendly" argument. But deary me, some people go so far over the line of reason it is incredible.

 

this talk that we held or own in europa league is bullshit, we were there by default after being eliminated again and then we played against udinese who were not interested in the competition and rennes were average and madrid were going through a poor spell before they apointed simeone as manager.I would urge the board and lennon to get signings in before we go into these qualifiers

Bradley Wiggins won the cycling today. O.K. Total pish.

His team mate was second.....not the last 16. SECOND.

People will remember Wiggins, not his team mate, Why ? Like us, his team mate is a second prize winner.

If you werent a Celtic fan - say you supported east stirling - would you be as demanding? Would you expect then to win every league in Scotland then win the european cup?

What I am getting at is do you believe celtic have any particular right to expect to win the champions league? Or would you just expect any team you supported to be the best in the world regardless of any obstacle?

 

So unless we win the CL you are going to keep criticising the team and deeming us failures?

there where two managers out there yesterday, and both of them had different ideas about what they expected from there team, we had Neil Lennon say he was trying a new set up, when we are * playing a good side, his policy there should have been how do we defend against a good side, the next manager was the under 19 manager and his words where when you put on a Celtic jersey you do not want to loose, he is about to put in a report to Neil Lennon about his lads no trying a leg, do you think that would bother Neil, I wonder
