6 game Ban

I said you normally get caught when you’re acting the *. If you’re sitting not causing any problems why would anyone take notice?

What did I make up? The fact remains that people who are causing no harm are going to get a 6-game ban sometimes. In my experience there's quite often someone getting off on the power in these situations and (quite apart from the cameras) you can usually tell if someone's had a few, even if they never cause any trouble.

You still haven't answered my point TBH. Is it acceptable to punish someone with a 6-game ban because someone else caused trouble some time in the past? If you agree that this isn't acceptable, then we agree that your point about some people causing trouble in your first post I quoted is not as cut and dried as you made out.

 

You get folks organising fights outside of the stadium though when they are completely sober so following this "reasoning" surely the logical thing is to ban football rather than drink.

 

Risking a 6 game ban to drink a can of Tennents should automatically result in a 12 game ban

And no. I said in my reply to @ILoveTheCeltic that it’s * that the rugby can manage fine with drinks at games but we can’t. Essentially that’s because of idiots in the past and that’s a shame but unfortunately that’s the reality of it. This isn’t a new law, we should be used to it by now. The bans are harsh, I said that.

If I had it my way we’d have bars identical to the rugby. Then there are no excuses, if you’re acting the * or drinking a bottle you snuck in you deserve a ban. 6 games? No.

 

Aye let’s do it. Would save me money and stress.

Well we agree that if you're acting the *, you deserve a ban... for acting the *. But tell me, why on earth should someone who is causing no harm to anyone receive a ban? And why do you think it's relevant that you've seen some drunk people causing bother? You still haven't answered my point.

Drink a can, six game ban, Bobby Sands!

 

When traveling over from Ireland we used to drink on the bus, boat, bus then pub before the game. The game was an energy zapper if there was no drink. Any time we didn't have drink in the stadium which was 95% of the time. When ya left the stadium we were * with tiredness. Even going for drinks after it took awhile to ger back on track. In todays society, one should be able to have a few. Especially season book holders who's names will be know.

 

It's torture for us who have traveled over from Ireland on the day of the game.
