    I get married 15th Sept.

If we’re playing the Huns, I’ll have a spare if anyone wants it.

A spare place at the wedding, I mean.

I fully expect like the tragic hat was given, slippy to be given a fairly easy start.

St Mirren, Hamilton, Livingston and St Johnstone their first 4 matches!

Celtic will take it all in their stride don't be surprised to see us heading to Tynecastle and Easter road back to back before we play Sevco for the first time! Or Aberdeen on Boxing day before the game at ibrox in December!

    * sake blochairn man, you have real issues.

Thread about CELTIC's opening day fixtures and automatically you're thinking about what the Govanshites will be getting, before your own team.

Get a grip, and concentrate on Celtic in Celtic chat.

    * off to zombie media or the zombie thread if you want to worry about who they get and when...

Don't think we've had an August fixture against any of the manifestations of Rangers since the 6-2 game in 2000.

    @ILoveTheCeltic will probably know more...

For a minute I thought I was on the Celtic News Now app reading one of the Sevco obsessed sites they put up every day claiming they are going out of business within the hour repeat repeat repeat.

Like most Celtic fans I couldn’t give a * who they get, over the season they will have the same fixtures as us and whatever way they are dished out we will be above them come May bar a miracle on their part

I reckon it'll be Hibs on the Sunday flag day..

They're in Europe and we had the diets at home last year..

Have a feeling it'll be them..

Would be good for us to get the easy start for a change, the more games we can concievably rest players the better in August, would be good to have like St Mirren at home, Motherwell away and Hearts at home or something as the first 3 games.

CELTIC will host Steven Gerrard’s Rangers in the FOURTH game of the new Premiership season.

The SPFL are due to release the fixtures this morning and Celtic and Gers fans have been eager to find out when the first Glasgow derby is

And The Times claims the clash will take place on Saturday September 1 at Parkhead, but could be pushed back 24 hours for TV.

The newspaper says the Liverpool legend’s first Ibrox showdown with Brendan Rodgers is scheduled for Saturday December 29.

Gers boss Gerrard experienced his fair share of Merseyside derbies as a player with Liverpool and he’ll now get a taste of the Old Firm rivalry.

It promises to be box-office as he goes head to head with his former Anfield gaffer.

Celtic will be looking to make a statement in the first clash between the two sides as they begin their pursuit of eight-in-a-row.

Plan to be in Glasgow the weekend of the 4th.
I'm guessing the opening game will be on TV, I wonder what the odds are of either a midday Sat or Sun kick off.

CELTIC will kick off the 2018/19 Ladbrokes Scottish Premiership season with a home game against newly-promoted Livingston on Saturday, August 4. Brendan Rodgers’ side, who secured a historic Double Treble last season, will be aiming to start the campaign with a victory as the Hoops go for eight-in-a-row.

Livingston secured promotion back to the top flight with a play-off victory over Partick Thistle. Their manager, David Hopkin, has since left the club and they are still to appoint a new manager.

The most recent meeting between the sides came in a League Cup tie at Celtic Park back in September 2008, when the Hoops won 4-0, with Scott Brown among the scorers. Livingston’s last visit to Celtic Park on league business was on Boxing Day 2005 when Shaun Maloney and Shunsuke Nakamura scored to give Celtic a 2-1 win.

Celtic’s second league game of the season is against Hearts at Tynecastle on August 11, while their last Premiership fixture of the month is a home game against Hamilton Accies.
