Labour have absolutely no chance of winning the next GE even if Scotland votes NO. Miliband's popularity has plummeted to 19%

Any ways, the south of England are happy with the Tories, they will win. Thank * we're going to vote YES

Labour were ahead in the polls until the budget and now it looks a lot closer. It was a very political budget aimed at people most likely to consider voting tory (old people and savers). Problem labour has is that while it is their job to bash the tories, their economic policy isnt too different and they have basically conceded that they buggered it up last time round. It will be interesting to see if they are brave enough to move left or if they will just try to edge it by preaching a more watered down version of the same thing.

And it isnt looking likely that we will vote yes!

It's a waste of * time for me voting in a General Election anyway. Locally, you could stick a Lib Dem rosette on a turnip and folk would vote for it where I live. Then at national level there are only two parties who have the possibility of forming a government and I * despise both of them.

I'll still always vote, because I believe if you don't vote you forfeit your right to complain when the government does things you don't like, but in all truth it's a total exercise in futility for someone like me.

I just hope we go for an Independent Scotland and use PR for our elections. At least that way you have a chance of your vote making a difference even if you don't want to vote for one of the main parties.

After there is a YES vote in the referendum, at the time of the 2015 General Election, what do you think if the worst were to happem (very unlikely but it's just a what if) and the tories win a majority in Scotland.
What would happen to the negotiations after that.

I made the mistake of voting Lib Dem in the last election, a mistake I will never make again. I will never vote Tories or New labour. I wish there was some kind of a real socialist party that was for the poor and working class but at the moment there is no hunger from people for that as they have been brainwashed to think socialism is evil or it's some strange ultra left-wing movement.

I can see UKIP doing very well in England but everywhere else they will not compete even wth Lib Dems. Anyone know what are the chances are it will be another 2 party government?

The problem with the Socialist parties in Scotland at present is the people they tend to attract. Usually it's the extreme left militant types that general members of the public simply cannot understand or agree with.

Have you ever been to a meeting of the SSP or any of the other groups? Check out the people who are there. Much like the far-right, they tend to attract the fringe members of society for the most part, and sometimes even the downright weird.

The middle ground in my opinion is the Green Party.

Miliband will never be PM, i watched him on Prime Ministers Questions this morning, for me he's a poor speaker and comes across as very weak.

Think I'll vote SNP or Green, couldn't ever bring myself to vote New Labour. Hopefully it will be irrelevant though because of the result in 2014:50:

Well, there's no better time to kickstart this thread and add a poll (I've tried to include as many of the options as possible).

    Apparently Labour have opened a five point poll lead over the 'Tories;

I honestly don't know if I'll bother voting this time. I no longer wish to acknowledge Westminster and my vote won't make a shred of difference anyway. I live in one of the safest Lib Dem seats you'll find and we'll inevitably end up with either a Tory or Liebour government or a Tory/Liebour led coalition. All of these outcomes are abominable to me.

I might just save my vote for 2016. At least in the Holyrood elections my vote has a chance of making a difference and I am voting for a Scottish parliament.

Christ, is this really what it's come to? The leader of the opposition accusing the Prime minister of "chickening out" of a debate? Seriously?

I back Cameron's stance, the Greens should be invited on and obviously he would also want the SNP represented as well, given they may well decide who gets the keys to No. 10 and at what cost :icon_mrgreen:

    General Electian 2015 thread

With the UK General Election 2015 happening in 39 days time on Thursday May 7th, i thought i would start this thread to discuss the possible scenarios especially if the SNP can hold the balance of power.
What would that mean for Scotland and the UK as a whole.
