    4. Dortmund

    5. Bayern

Definitely a contentious question. Is it turnover, fan base, money? So many variables.
Among others you would have to consider the big Brazilian clubs.I mean, if Corinthians were trying to get Tevez for £30m, when you think of the fanatical support there is in Brazil, you would have to consider them.I think up until the 60's maybe, both us and the huns were up there, but with football so popular world wide now, and so accessible via TV, we are all in danger of disappearing a little to the EPL, La Liga and the CL.Those clubs seem to be growing at everyone elses expense.I mean at this rate, Man City will automatically be in there.

Well i suppose they are flavour of the month(or decade) right now! I guess Liverpool were the flavour in their time, and Milan.

What defines a true fan though?! I know people who say that they are Barca fans, but don't ever travel to games, and only watch the odd game.

I would say in term of true worldwide support we are right up there. All you have to do is look at the amount of CSC's all over the world. Heard 9 million quoted as our fanbase.

    Liverpool aren't bigger than Celtic.

Liverpool are a average club with a big ambition.

Celtic are bigger than Liverpool definitely. Liverpool are only popular in England/North Wales, and a slight support in Asia.

It's really hard to determine "big clubs" but I mean what comes into account?? Fanbase? Success? History? Size of stadium?

    10. Fenerbahce

I would say that by taking into account the history(trophies won), fanbase and attendances.

Fogot about Ajax id stick them behind us in front of Benfica.

How are we judging how big a club is? If it is on fan base then the following teams would have to be considered as well.

    Benfica 14 million fans
    Flamengo 36 million fans
Vasco De gama 10 million fans
    Corinthians 29 million fans
    Palmeiras 17 million fans

This goes on fanbase alone i would say that Leeds for example have a much bigger fan base in Britain than Chelsea although Chelsea are obviously a much better team so are a bigger club in some aspects but if you added up all the daftys from Thailand etc. that have a new club every season they're gonna have a much bigger fan base than Leeds even if it's 50% Glory hunters.

And i am fully aware of the size of some of the South American clubs fan bases but if you noticed i put Europe so that's the reason i left them out :50:

Noticed Dortmund getting left of peoples lists they're a team that decks out an 80,000 stadium for fun on match days.
