Mjallby said: "I have seen flashes of Victor but not live. However, he looks a talented and strong boy and is also good on the ball.

"He has this wee stroll about him. He is like a young Gallas or Desailly. He looks a good player and seems more to us like a centre defender."

We brought him in wanting to convert him to a centre back, it was the opposite way around. He got his chance in the midfield because Broony, Kayal and Ledley were in and out injury wise.

Fair play! I just recalled us having injury issues at the time and that he was only playing their as cover.

I'd Johan said what you posted above then they made a * of that call. Vic would have been wasted at centre half.

People forget just how raw he was when he first came in, he could have been moulded into a great centre back. Just so happens it was immediately obvious having him in midfield would be so much better.

The Desailly comparison was apt though, that’s what we wanted him to be. Can remember him playing RCB in a back 3 and being the most ridiculously attacking centre back I’ve seen and it was immense. Mullgrew done that same at LCB :56:

Was after we won the league. Can anyone remember who it was we were playing? We ran riot...

Not a player but what about Wim Jansen. We were looking someone to stop the ten and brought in this guy from, I think, Japan. The season that followed was * incredible....

Didn’t have a clue about and was pretty underwhelmed by Wanyama and VVD.

That was the 6-0 to win the league, Mulgrew at left back scored 2 and set up 2 I think. Twardzik was * hot.

Gary Hoopers first goal from outside the box as well.

    Agathe has to win this.

If someone had told you MON had signed a Champions League level full back when he paid 27k to Hibs for a former Raith Rovers striker with dodgy knees you’d have laughed in their face.

Would probably have to agree, considering the week before we signed him I seen him playing for Hibs on the telly in the Wee Man's and he missed an open goal from about 2 yards out playing as a striker.

In saying that, maybe not. Considering the * was a "star striker" for....ahem....Ze Rangers!

Loads of folk already mentioned, in fact so many I'm really cringing at myself... but didn't see anyone mentioning Tosh McKinley or Darren Jackson yet, and I remember thinking * at the times... both were solid for us!

Man, There's a lot of folk really brought good game to us over the years.

I mind Wanyama playing right-cente back against Motherwell away and was quality, played like a mix of a right-back and right-winger even though he was technically at centre-half. He had quite a few good games around the right-side of defence at the time.

I think that was the one! He set up a goal with a belter of a cross I’m sure. It was * quality :56:

I’d take Agathe and raise you a Lubo. Can mind everycunt going insane with Lubo, buying a pensioner, Doctor Jo’s old mate, biscuit tin mentality.

Then he was the biggest genius I’ve ever witnessed at the club.

Both are two * belters but.

Thing with Lubo is, a quick look at his career would have shown that at one point he was world class.

Agathe had shown nothing to prove what he was capable of.

That’s true, back then we didn’t have the means to do so though. Wonder how it would have panned out if he signed today? Quickly would have realised we’d signed an ageing * genius I assume.
