Absolutely baffling that these people couldn't see the value of Broonie! I know he chucks the odd wobbly and gets himself banned, but it's no coincidence that every time we've had a solid midfield and good euro run etc. he's been in it, and every time he's suspended or injured we've huffed and puffed and regularly underperformed.

The thought of him lifting the trophy for 10 just put a smile on my face... at half 8 in the morning... In work... For the next 12hours... Think that says a lot about what he means to the club, and how much I feel he deserves that recognition.

I still stand by my choice. He's cost us the best part of £15m in transfer and wages. I have no problem with his drive and passion, or even his motivational impact on the team, where I have a problem is is football ability which, in my opionion, is still lacking. £15m on a guy who technically I don't think is great is not value for money. I don't hate him and I do think he brings something to the team, I just don't think he is worth what we have spent on him.

He's a player who gives his all for the team in every game.

He's worth every * penny spent on him

If football were just about giving your all for the team in every game I'd agree with you 100%, but it's not, and in my opinion, he isn't.

As a footballer probably not, but his leadership is first-rate. He's immensely important to the confidence of the team and team-spirit. But he is limited, he's never turned into that energetic goal-scoring midfilder, not a great passer of the ball, and never really done it in Europe.

Lennon had a better first touch and short passing game than Brown and rarely gave easy possession away. But that's beside the point as this thread isn't about Lennon.

I actually agree with a lot of this, but I disagree regarding Europe. I think he has been a very important player for us in European games.

Scott Brown is The Rock in midfield he will let the attacking players create to score.

When things are going bad he's that one player you want in the team who never gives up.

    Some proper arseholes on here.

I bet there isn't one player who looks forward to playing against him,
He doesn't give them a minutes peace.
He is a great asset to the club & team

He was key to us turning our season around last season, he's a leader on and off the pitch, if he had great technical ability he wouldn't be at Celtic, big teams would of came in for him.

For me , although he sometimes frustrates me , he has become the beating heart of the team . He seems like a good motivator of his team mates . He is a big part of Celtic and the success we have enjoyed lately . He even deserves the occasional * up in Edinburgh's Bermuda triangle , deep fried pizza is optional . BROONY , BROONY !

Genuinely love this guy. So important to the team domestically and in Europe, and he can play a bit as well. :icon_mrgreen:

As people has said his actual footballing ability (passing and shooting) is poor but he is our most important player. So yes he has been worth it.

He's massively under rated as a footballer. His passing really isn't that bad. He has a brilliant change of pace and can easily beat players.

People seem to forget about that side of his game.
