Have any of my good friends ever been in Rome and seen the murmerations of Starlings there? Absolutely mind blowing. Noisy as * too.

Susan, it was amazing to see. When my wife and I were going to the Coliseum, it was getting dark. All the Starlings were settling down for the evening. As we passed some trees near the Coliseum, the noise of bird song was unbelievable. It was truly loud.

Any bird experts know what’s going on here???

There are a regular pair of red kites nesting nearby ... always circling overhead...

Today I’ve counted 6 of them circling around the area ...

you might need to zoom in to see but definitely 6.. Can’t be offspring in February ..
