What ? She deserved to be charged over it.

She was obviously not all there and needed help from somewhere. But being depressed doesn't excuse hitting a sleeping person with a lamp,if that is what happened.

My angle is people making excuses and defending her to the hilt but if the roles were reversed, nobody would be defending a guy that done the same. And rightly so, because it's scumbag behaviour.

But by all accounts, what actually happened isn’t what the papers are saying.

I'm going on the fact the charges were being taken forward. Surely there must have been something in it for that to happen.

Unless the guy has came out and spoke about it, I guess we'll never find out now.

    Tragic situation all round.

We don't automatically believe the Sun or Record when they talk about Celtic, why would we automatically assume they're telling the truth re this?

If she hit him and the CPS deemed that it was worthy of being brought in front of a court then fine, if the evidence presented led to a conviction and it then became public knowledge then fine, fill your boots.

Before that, any criticism against her is based solely on speculation of a press that has lied and acted repulsively repeatedly: Hillsborough, hacking voicemails of kidnapped/dead children and their relatives, stoking hatred against Lennon, lying about WMD in Iraq.

Why anyone would implicitly trust what they're saying I don't know.

How do we know what she was gettin charged with? I just find it weird you seem to have zero sympathy for a lassie that was clearly struggling with her mental health and even after she’s killed herself you still want to condemn her.

What proof have you got she was innocent ?

I'll take the fact charges were being brought against her as proof something happened over people that don't know any details of the incident denying it on a football forum.

Where did I say I have zero sympathy ?

I find it strange that folk are so determined she is innocent because who she was. Yet, if it was a guy being charged with a domestic assault , it someone not famous, nobody would be so eager to defend them.

You didn’t need to say it, the tone of what your saying is clear though.

Listen, whatever happened happened. She may well have assaulted the guy. But she clearly didn’t deserve to be treated so badly to a point she felt she had to kill herself. The guy she apparently assaulted didn’t want the charges pressed and going by that draft insta post, the papers are way off the mark, especially with the blood stained covers in the photo.

    I already stated, I don't read papers.

Think you're overthinking things. She deserved to be charged, if she was guilty, but didn't deserve to be pushed to the point of suicide.

On the instagram thing, she's obviously not going to come out and admit her guilt, especially if she intended to plead not guilty on the charges.

How many murderers have came out and denied they were guilty ? I would take that instagram post with a pinch of salt.

The burden of proof lies with the judiciary to prove someone's guilt not with me or anyone else to prove someone's innocence.

A presumption of guilt without being in knowledge of the full facts and/or a fair trial is a very dangerous path to go down. Like a modern-day Salem Witch trial.

I'm not saying she is or isn't, I don't know enough about it to say one way or another...no-one does at this point. What we do know is that the press were speculating and posting information that could be deemed prejudicial and stop the accused of having a fair trial and that I think is wrong.

I don’t think I’m overthinking at all. As you can probably see from other threads, I know how the lassie felt. She deserved a proper fair trial to prove her guilt otherwise without being demonised by gutter media and wee bullies on Twitter etc.

She wasn’t a murderer though was she?

Never said she was. Just pointing out that folk will always come out and deny guilt.

We've all hit low points in life. My whole point is that if she was guilty of assaulting him then it doesn't excuse it. There was obviously more going on in her life causing her to be in that frame of mind than just a court case, which by her account she was innocent of so shouldn't have been enough to cause her to take her own life.

I don't know how she was treated by the media or on twitter so can't comment. Don't read papers left lying about never mind give the * a penny.

None of us know her, none of us know what happened so we can all speculate on her guilt or innocence. Or we can all just take one side and look at her as innocent, which in turn makes the bf guilty of fabricating a story which resulted in someone's death.

I really don’t see why someone who intends on ending their life would lie in an Instagram draft.

It makes no sense to me.

Whether she’s innocent or not, I hope there are journalists who were involved in the entire case sitting at their desk haunted by it. Scumbags.

You are but it doesn't actually mean you're innocent.

Even then, guilty people still walk away without being convicted. Innocent people also end up being found guilty.

Are courts always 100% correct in the decisions they make ?
