Just suggested him in the transfer talk thread after watching the highlights of Amiens vs PSG where he scored 2.

Googled his name and in today's Daily Mail we apparently had a scout watching him.

    23. 6ft 2. French. Former youth international. Striker....you know the rest.

The fee that they're mentioning is £18m but no chance. Has 8 goals this season.

    Hes the no9.

He'd look sick on our bench, bring him home.

@Mr Shelby is this your way of subtly revealing you're now a Celtic scout? :fear:

Tottenham are the latest club to check on Amiens forward Serhou Guirassy as Premier League sides consider a summer bid.

The 23-year-old striker scored twice against Paris Saint-Germain at the weekend, including a stoppage time equaliser, as struggling Amiens pulled off a remarkable 4-4 draw against the French champions. Indeed, Guirassy played a role in all four Amiens goals and could have had a hat-trick but for the footwork of PSG keeper Keylor Navas.

It took Guirassy's tally to eight goals for the season and followed on from a strike against Monaco the previous week.

French sources say Tottenham's chief scout Brian Carey was in the stands at the Stade de la Licorne on Saturday to look at a number of options and left suitably impressed with Guirassy's display.

Amiens bought the pacy Guirassy for £5million from Cologne and, with over two years left on his contract, now value the former France U20 international at around £18m. Funds from his sale would provide a vital financial lifeline should they be relegated.

The Frenchman was an option for Brighton and Hove Albion in January while Bournemouth also considered a late bid when Manchester United enquired after Josh King on deadline day. Leicester City, Aston Villa and Celtic have also watched him.

Amiens are second from bottom and five points off Dijon who are in the relegation play-off position.

It is understood that agent Mark McKay of Mercato Sports has the mandate to sell Guirassy.

If they bought him for £5m they’ll likely be looking for at least £12m-£15m minimum surely.

Amiens are 6 points from safety, they may be looking to sell if they relegate.
Also his scoring record is not that great. 8 goals this season. He has also struggled in ligue 2 and 2 bundesliga. Paying anything above 4 would seem like a big risk.

If we sell Edouard for £30m odd then signing a replacement for £12m odds wouldnt be out if the question.

    £18m nae chance.

If they’re looking to sell then we won’t be the only club looking to buy him so they can still name their price.

I’ve never seen the lad play so couldn’t really comment on what value I think he’s worth but I wouldn’t want us paying that type of money based on his goalscoring record.

    Could be a late bloomer.

Odds are he will put in 12 goals or so in the league this season for a team struggling/potentially getting relegated.

But I agree...its a risk a club like us cant really afford to take. Leicester or Villa could spend that and not blink if it goes the wrong way.

They can name it, doesn't mean people will pay (see el buffalo dung). His record at his age will likely not see big bids.

If they’ve bought the guy for £5m they won’t sell him for £4m when he’s being watched by us and Spurs, even if they’re relegated.

Brighton apparently were close to getting him on loan with option to buy in January.
