    ON-LOAN Celtic ace Jack Hendry faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines after suffering a serious knee injury playing for Melbourne City.

    The Hoops defender moved Down Under in the January transfer window after being frozen out at Parkhead.

    However, on only his second appearance for the A-League giants, the 24-year-old has sustained a serious-looking injury after an awkward landing against Adelaide United.

    Melbourne’s coach Erick Mombaerts has confirmed that the Scotland international will be out for a ‘long time’.

    Speaking to Australian media outlet FTBL after his side’s 3-1 loss to Adelaide, the gaffer admits he fears for the centre half.

    He said: “For me, it’s most important … the injury of Jack.

    We can lose a game, we will be better next time. But if we lose this player for a long time it will be a big problem for us.


    “I don’t know exactly but I think it’s a big injury

    What the * * is wrong with our players?? Can we for the love of *, spend some * real money on a sports science team. I know he has fallen awkwardly, but the injuries for players we have and now ones that have only just left is bordering on the surreal.
