I'd be 100 times more confident with him on the pitch than Jozo.

 

I think he's a better out n out defender than Ajer but, Lennon didn't seem to fancy him. Plus for me he never looked the same after he went off injured at Mordor, looked * hot when we were playing diddies cause Jozo was out and Boyata was being a wee *. If he's injury free then fair enough, hate the thought of asking that rat Rodgers for favours though.

I don't think Lennon fancied him because he knew he was away. Lennon doesn't really like to play players that aren't permanent squad members (and even then, he doesn't like to play them too).

Hadnt realised he'd went to Bristol City. I'd assume if he does well there he'll be sold in the summer.

 

I really thought he looked like he had huge potential in his first few games for us, would definitely take him back in the summer if he stays fit.

 

Some amount of players wrongly sign for clubs like Leicester, West ham, even signing to knowingly be a fringe player at Chelsea, Liverpool etc. Such a * waste.

Thanks be loaned out to Bristol * city, says it all that you aren't going to make it at the top half of the epl, which means heehaw trophies in your locker.

Is it money greed? Perhaps.
Perhaps they are a little bit deluded and believe their agents hype etc.
But unless you were 100% in knowing you was going to take a step up from a Leicester, why bother signing for them? It's all downhill it's seems for a guy like benkovic, who I really think is a massive level above Bristol city, if you are getting no look in at Leicester and the best they can do for you is * you off to Bristol city at the end of a window.
Lad would be better off accepting he ain't getting looked at and demand a transfer out of the epl.
Move on to a European league where you will get game time and grow as a player and actually fight for a title.

Get what you're saying, but easy to say that about him choosing Leicester in hindsight. He would of backed himself to make it there, and would have seen only an ageing on his way out Morgan and Evans as his main competition.

Soyuncu was always highly rated despite not being played much, but another manager might have favoured Benkovic over him had he smashed his season with us and stayed injury free.

 

No question we need to sign a legit senior center back next summer just as we did in getting Jullien last summer. If Benkovic was an option for us to buy and he was willing to fit into our wage structure which would likely mean a pay cut then I would say for sure sign him. I really liked what I saw of him last season.
